Back To Hell - Diablo 3 on PS3.

What have I been doing at home these days other than watching Breaking Bad?

I went to HELL.. AGAIN..

Despite spending hundred and hundreds of hours on Diablo 3 on the PC, I am doing it again on the console.

The Good: 

• You can play offline
• You can share screen with 4 other friends
• You have this Evade button which put the game to a whole new level. It's almost like playing a new game. It's not so level and item dependent as the PC version. You evade and roll around and beat it like how you would on Mega Man. 

I believe this is the thing many wish to find out.

• IT'S RAINING LEGENDARY ITEMS!!! (I probably have an answer for this.)

The Bad:

• There is no auction house. So you don't actually get to buy items and money seems secondary. Which is probably the reason why legendary items are easy obtained in single player mode. 
• There is no PVP mode.
• The long mins of waiting for your friends to change their gears or choose skill on the same screen. It's really time wasting especially when you are starting a new game together with 3 others. 
• The social element of it is very weak. Cause adding any new friends on the PS3 is simply adding them onto my PS3 account and not the Diablo 3 account. I wouldn't want to mix my PS3 friends with my Diablo 3 friends. and not everyone is on this game as compared to a year ago on the PC.  

And why am I still playing it? Comon, it's Diablo 3. You have no idea how many man hours I spend playing the same thing over and over again for Diablo 2. It's a classic!

1st Experience - PS3: Dragon Age

This game was launch last Nov but I have yet to get my hands on it until yesterday.

It has been sometime since I last do a game review and at 2nd thought I would like to do this review in two parts. 1st Experience - which is the following post of how I look at it after 1hrs of playing with it last night. Full Review - which will be a post after I finish or at least explore most of the game play.

1st Experience -

Dragon Age - The idea this game gave me before even loading the disc was a simple - "Diablo 2 " mood. Typically running around hacking and slashing some mob along the story line and pumping some stats points. I wasn't totally right but neither am I wrong. I was totally blown away by the fact that after choosing a gender or class ( Human, Elf and Dwarf) I wish to be, I even get to choose it's background story.

Choosing the background story - what does it means to you ? It means I can be a Dwarf, I can start of as a royalty or a cast-less kinda Dwarf and that also means high re playability and multiple storyline to me.

It's not just "Diablo 2" after all.

The Good -

It's not normal for me to fall in love with a game which 1 spent 1 hr on and only had 3 less than a minute battle game but I actually did fall in love with Dragon Age. There is lots of decision to make in conversation. You can choose your own way of talking to your teammates/NPC and that set me wondering if that will bring me to a different ending.

Nothing much amazing about the graphics as of now but I just can't get my mind off the game as I wonder what will happen to "me" next. I ended my game at a point where I got caught in jail by the person I tried to betray. Each and everyone of the characters I have meet so far made an impression to me, the characters are so well crafted. To me it's really the story which keeps me wanting to follow it as the storyline is totally interactive and it feels like I am in the game and not just following through another main character's life such as Devil May Cry or God of War.

The Bad -

The only thing which gave me quite a shock was the idea of not having online playing possibilities as it would have sounded more fun as it actually seems like a MMORPG possible game, but at 2nd thought i felt that this format of moving through as a single character makes more sense. We can't be all online and spent time talking to different characters online all the time.

Probably the handling will be quite a problem as it's limitation on the ps3 control game pad. I would suggest readers to go for the PC version if your PC can handle the game.

Conclusion -

This game really give me a very special experience as of now and I just can't wait to finish at least 1 story line and give a full review. The game is totally worth the $40 I paid for (pre-owned copy) or get your 1st hand copy at any major game store at $59 +- . Don't bother waiting for me to sell off mine as a 2nd hand as I suppose I will spend quite a fair bit of time with all these possibilities installed ahead for me.

Welcome back to the office pple !

A start of a brand new work week.. was disconnected for two days as i do not have a com at home..

My own laptop is at fujitsu centre waiting to be service and my spare lappy from dumdum is at work. ( too lazy to bring home ) and my office has yet to give me a proper computer which allows me to print my hand out !!!

It feels weird when i am telling people that i am busy tomorrow cause i am going to work..

work ? it was just like 3 weeks ago when i was telling pple i just quit my job..

present bagged this year - free meal from liping , braun buffel belt from dear dear which i really like, meal and red packet from mum n dad, 1TB HDD from junjun and korkor ( but yet to buy )

new LCD monitor - nooo.. i nv buy.. is my fujitsu mei mei lcd spoilt riao.. bring to fujitsu and change lor.. dunno when can collect ( yes i am using my dumdum's old laptop.. abit lagg.. but still okay )

a new toy ! - finally... after long time of not buying transformers.. the TF movie hit me fast and furious.. a 5 star show lor.. got myself bumble bee.. really nic details.. thumbs up for this toy.. ( pictures are inside dumdum camera leh )

3 new ps3 game this month - 2nd hand - Virtual Tennis and DBZ burst limit and the latest Dynasty warrior empire.. cant wait for modern warfare 2 and tekken 6 !!

best of all - a new job !! a new beginning !! yes.. afer 4 interviews they finally accepted me and i will be reporting to work tmr morning ! sure hope i can produce good result and dun disappoint them.. excited about the job !!

29th April Dinner

As picture mention.. the 3 main things we did on 29th April..

1. Collect my h00t from online mate - Killzone 2
2. Dinner @ Soup Spoon
3. Dessert @ Crystal Jade.

Seriously if we make the effort.. we can earn much more from online purchase of 2nd hand games using gameaxis forum then just close our eyes and go buy2hand.. but alot of time buibui and i ish simply too lazy to save the $5 - $10.. but this time round no choice cause buy2hand dun have killzone2.. haha

anyway killzone 2 is indeed a 9.0 game.. their weapon is damm good and the whole game is fast pace and exciting !! but pretty challenging too.. i just kip dying at some area.. but nevertheless there is some things which i dislike abt this game.
They have in between game loading scene meaning u can be dashing happily and it just hang and u will get a shock but actually it is just loading.. so far resistance and COD nv give me such problem.. they only load at certain time where it is obviously a free time frame rather then running half way..

I realize that i have been buying quite some games actually.. i got 2 on feb - Resistance 2 and Street Fighter IV.. March nothing.. April i got 2 as well - back to back COD WaW and Killzone 2..

Soup Spoon standard is always to same.. so no complain abt their soup.. just that too bad they ran out of the soup i want and ended up ordering this funy soup which is name after 2 person's name which i cant remmeber.. it's like i drink chicken soup cause chicken is in there.. but i drink this man soup.. god knows what's in there.. yuck...but it taste good actually.. = X

Dessert was normal.. just that these pple damm bo liao.. always like to use white dessert.. put in in their mouth and then give the face with it half showing around their lips..if u know what i mean.. hahaha..

2ml2day is labour day.. gonna go my colleague's solemnization ceremony in the evening.. excited !!

[PS3] New h00t ! - COD WAW

As title suggest.. new h00t from buy 2 hand.. $75 moolah.. huat ah !!

so far not bad.. i was like thinking abt this and Killzone 2.. i will get both at the end of day but bottleline is which one 1st.. haha.. result i got WAW 1st because it has the function of splitscreen co-op.. so i can play w dumdum .. heehee..

so far i play 1st game moiself.. notch bad.. graphics good.. can kill japan soldier.. as if u are living in WWII feeling..

can even go online play 4 player co-op.. but i really sux at such game actually

No action ? U are wrong !!

Remember my game review on Resistance 2 ??

after getting this game for like 2 months, i have nv really play it's campaign mode as i was like always stuck on their online mode and of course not to forget NBA live 09.. trying very hard to meet their calendar.. and yes.. Wizard Won the Championship ring on my ps3.. muahaha... in real life ? they aint even in playoffs man.. boooo...

anyway, thanks to my 1 week mc.. i work from home and i dun travel around and i have much more time.. cause i dun go out.. i dun chill with the gang.. i dun go running.. i dun go slack.. i dun go shopping.. so i have all the time i want on my ps3 ! yes ! and i completed Resistance 2 campaign mode in 8 hrs..

i dunno if that is fast or slow.. but for me i am nv a true gamer i am always like those i play song can liao kinda gamer..

the story is pretty good.. just sad that Nathan Hale ( main char ) have to die at the end of the game.. the action and stuff was pretty good.. i actually unlock this arcade mode thing and i can just replay it again in another mode !! ya dar !

thanks to resistance and resistance 2 i feel much better abt FPS on ps3 and so i downloaded more FPS to try and thinking of which to get..

Killzone 2 - Downloaded long ago but only tried once and thought it was too difficult.. yesterday went and play again den i realize indeed there is a reason why it is 9.0 game.. the atmospher .. the graphics.. the speed.. the realistic level.. detail level is crazy.. looks like this is a must h00t soon...

Haze - the $30 @ IT fair.. pretty normal.. so so graphics.. but damm irritating dialougue..the mission is unclear..but playable..funny thing.. u cant sprint..


Conflict: Denied Ops - quite bad.. lousy weapon control.. lousy graphics.. weapon power very weak.. the graphics is so bad u cant see when the opponent is.. good thing abt this there is split screen co-op.. but generally.. it sucks... worst then the $30 game.. lolx ~

Condemned 2: Bloodshot - just when we thought FEAR 2 was bad enuff in terms of scary ur ass of.. this is the kinda game i think keong will like.. no gun fire.. no pistol.. FIST fight.. weapon.. pick up the pipe.. smash that ass's head.. i seriously wonder what story is it about.. i didnt quite get it.. the whole town is full of pple who wanna kill each other.. black shadow like monster trying to kill u as well...the graphics is very good.. is as good as u are really in their town.. i read the story on wiki riao.. abit lame.. police kenna this hate thing and whole town become like that.. no head no tail kinda story.. online gives 8.5 and i do not think there is a need to challenge this point


Riddick: Dark Athena - a game i will not buy.. use close combat.. den kill a person with gun i have to hold the person n use his gun.. cannot just steal his gun.. wtf... color tone very grey.. dun like the feeling.. and grahics so so nia.. so not into it.. ( and i thought mirror edge was like one of the only one.. and condemned and riddick actually also like this.. haha )

BioShock - online says 9.0 and the part 2 is abt to release soon.. quite good the game play.. u get to explore.. i like games which is dynamic is such a way and u can even drink the alcohol.. pick up cigs to smoke.. but the logic is twsiter.. go around wack unknown pple.. and the opponent all looks weird.. they look like some moving puppets and ur weapon looks weapon.. and ur right hand can use POWER.. yes.. like shoot flame.. shoot electricity.. twisted indeed..

ah yayaya.. i wanna get get get Killzone 2 soon !!

no action outside but i do have plenty of action killing monster.. running pass the building..

Anyway morning BEMSD wasn't too bad.. very little pple in fact only 3 of us but it is really tiring game.. cause no pple then have to run around more den ever..

we did a 1 v 1 v 1 thing ... BuiBui Parker and Me... shag.. and for the 1st time i won in 1 v 1 v 1 ..

then we did a 2 v 2 with a random guy.. v goh and i won.. but i was pretty much a mismatch.. parker's teammate abit short.. as in really short man.. so he had a pretty hard time trying to stop us..

den comes robbie.. mr.pilot.. always fly aeroplane one.. he is notch a real pilot lah..

so we did the round robin 2 v 2 and i won 2 round out of 3.. the round i lost was w v goh... the sun was like hanging on top of us.. really cannot play anymore.. damm shag.. the "i wanna faint" feeling.. hahaha.. 11-1 with parker and 11-7 with robbie. and a 6-11 lost with v goh ...

i like to take note of my games be it lost or win.. i am a very stats person i suppose.. ( dora going to kill me if i talk anymore stats man.. )

i am 14 games away from playoff.. i mean my nba live 09 on ps3 for those who are pretty lost abt this..7 more days to end of regular season for the real life NBA..pretty sad wizard is not going into the playoff this season..

hope they have a good rest and a good draft pick or at least a good draft pick number so they can trade this for a good shooting guard or a good point guard who can rotate Agent 0...

ooh.. and b4 i end this post.. i would like to share w u guys this amazing scary game on ps3..

I suppose the title says it all.. Faith was telling me abt this game and i actually went onto the psn network to dl it and try it out last nite.. i shld sum it up as " scare the shit out of me " the way they do it is damm good.. but damm funny too.. use pistol to shot ghost hor.. ghost.. not zombie.. muahaha..

i didnt play it in depth but online says 7 points and as far as i have played i think it shld be around 7-8.5 .. very to theme.. very scary and graphics not too bad.. control is not difficult too..
