I ish on magazine ( not porn )

Thanks to one of the young blogger Mr.Dumbellz aka Handsome, I got the news that I was feat on the Chinese magazine - "U magazine" .

I confess that I am not a magazine reader, not even FHM or Mens Health. Singapore's article seriously no longer entertain me in anyway, everything we read from magazines are like so commercialize and they are trying to sell some product in every article. tsk .

Anyway, I got a scan of it !

See !! I still gave stupid face even when on magazine.. oh so me.. and beside me was daintyflair - Jacelyn and Jgrey - Jing Long.

So you ask me what happen and why am I on the magazine ?

This event happened around two weeks back and as the magazine mention it's "Night Out @ Bras Basah - Bugis". This event is held by 100.3fm and omy.sg to promote the art scene and night scene of Bras Basah and PoMo being part of the Bras Basah - Bugis art scene was part of the event.

We were tour guided by the DJs on the Hippo Bus around Bras Basah - Bugis area and they were really funny and entertaining. Thumbs up for them !

I attended this event as a representative of PoMo and not myself and I was a little worried that I will not know anybody from this event but I was wrong.

The event invited bloggers as well as listeners of 100.3fm. I actually bump into my neighbor who is a family of 100.3fm fans and some bloggers I already know. Like the earlier mentioned Jacelyn and Jing Long. Oh.. And I bump into Elson as well although we didn't take the same ride. ( There were two different bus) And thanks for the mention Elson !

And of course , I made some friends from this trip too, I get to talk to two of the very friendly DJs from 100.3fm and their crew and some other bloggers like Andystorm, forest, hp , Tristan and many more. Ooh.. and her !

7th Month Celebration once again !

Same event.. diferent pple.. different place.. different "brothers and sisters"

It has always been the special event for most company and to my surprise.. even my new company which gives me the "ang mo" feel does this too..

yup.. the 7th month prayers..

lots of food.. lots of things to do.. and most impressive of all was the security supervisor.. although being indian he actually know the procedure better than anyone of us.. this is indeed racial harmony.. i guess this only happens in Singapore..ang mo respecting the chinese cutlture and indian colleague running it.. nice nice !!

Happy Birthday DumDum @ Hey Hey Hotpot - "Up Style"

In Conjunction with the Pixar new movie "UP" .. I decided to celebration dumdum's bday "UP" style..



Yeah.. I got her a Balloon.. And this balloon just look so tasty !!



Treat her eat buffet but she still wanna give the balloon a bite.. =.=|||



It's quite good for bishi bashi fun too ! *Ouch ~

And we celebrated Dumdum bday the Hongkie Style Again !! We ate Canton I at Ion previously for our favorite Dim Sum and this time round ??

Yeah.. if u are a fan of HK drama u will notice that the hongkie always like to eat steamboat for all happy occasion..

Yes.. where else but @ my office's Hey Hey Hotpot ?!

For a price of $27 +++ each.. we get to choose from a menu of 70 ++ type of food !! Luxury eh ? And the service is really good too !



This is a sit down buffet.. so i do not need to like walk all over the place just to take my food and i dun even need to decide what to eat. They simply serve me everything for the 1st round !



And something I must mention is their soup base !! Lao Huang Guang.. so special !! so nice !!



And their La-La is the best lah.. the sauce is nice and fresh too

What a Great Weekend !!

Was down at PoMo ( 1 Selegie ) hosting this fornight event PoMosounds again.. Although it's like extra work in the eye of others but i really look forward to going back to host this event every saturday evening.

It's not just because i get to be the show host and stuff like that.. it's the kids.. they are really fun pple and they are passionate and ambitious.. their attitude impressed me and i really like them.. working with them makes me feel damm young once again.. it's like talking abt all the lame stuff and there is no comparison no stress and they are really cool..

and yes.. that's saturday nite for me.. and sorry to dumdum again as i was late for meetup AGAIN.. = P Bad boyfriend..

And Sunday is even BETTER !!!

We headed down to Sentosa early in the morning with the good old "us"..

Yup.. it's just like good old times.. my evil twin liping, my buddy keong, my dumdum dora and my sister junjun..

No stress.. No comparison.. no irritating comments.. no arguement.. no stupid stunt.. no late coming.. no black face.. no between the lines comment.. no showing off of how much u earn..

And after all the monkey stuff we did at sentosa - Tampines Ikea here we come !!

Lucky Lucky we were.. despite the crowd we manage to get a great seat for the 5 of us and meatballs, wings and good food we got !!

And keong dare me to do some funky stuff and for TWO ice cream cone.. and YES.. no doubt i won !! I will share in more details when i get the pics..

Ion Orchard - Canto I

Foreplay: w00t.. lousy game purchase.. lousy game exchange.. kudos to Tampines Mall's new Game Shop allowing me to exchange my mistake purchase at full value on the next day.. brought it back to kelvin and was telling him that it's a mistake purchase as i didn't know it's 3rd person kinda game and not 1st person which i preferred.. and he let me change for the game "Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel" a game kinda like Diablo 2.. so far so nice !!

Dumdum and I went to Ion to pre-celebrate her birthday and our anniversary.. and as usual.. i am caught up with work when i am suppose to meet her and i was like late for an hour... really very soooory but dumdum still greeted me with a smile.. heehee.. thx dumdum.. ( Sidenote : Met Kath for lunch this afternoon and I was late for around 40mins too !! but she too was very nice and nv blame me de hor! thx Kath !! )

PoMo previously known as Paradiz Centre was transform into PoMo last Dec and instead of the old Kbox and Singaporepools we now have very interested mix of tenant.. from dancing to boxing to even music schools.. not to forget long time partner a makeup school and of course lots of FnB.. from the popular Japanese food court Ishi Mura to world wide sandwich brand Subway..and local popular Killiney,Mad Jack.. HeyHey Hotpot by celebrity Terence Cao.. oh.. yes yes.. and we have this jamming studio.. music ensemble.. cool stuff man.. oh.. and where i got my hair done up.. DA Hair Dressing..I must agree.. not the best place to window shop but nevertheless.. this place rocks ur world if u need a new life.. haha.. 45 more %.... pfffff....

My plain rice.. $1.50.. this is the only part which pissed me off @ Canto I.. i ordered so many things and i assume.. i say i assume, plain rice is the easiest to get.. but it was the slowest to reach and it only reach after i complain to THREE different person.. and it was like at least half and hours before it was serve and i did show unhappiness BUT manager did not apologise and neither did they offer any kind of waiver or anything.. all they did was " i will check.." and "here is ur rice" Is it because i didnt order enough ? is it because i am not weldress for ur high class restaurant ? or is it because i am not a regular ? turn off bad service..



oh no.. last pcs liao !!

so overall..

Price : 2.5/5 - Really Expensive if u ask me.. total damage for 2 is $50.1 main dish, 1 side, 1 plain rice 1 plain porridge and 1 milk tea.. sexpensive !

Ambience : 4/5 - seats are good.. we even sat there for a chat after the meal..the design feeds the nice and classy but still a touch of HK but music was bad.. old chinese song.. shld play some HK songs or background music is enough..

Food : 5/5 - very nice.. from rice to porridge to the meat we ordered.. thumbs up

Service : 2/5 - staff unsure of which order is for which table.. slow service.. floor manager looks rather unhappy to serve and overall short handed..

Will I Visit Again ? - Yes for sure.. but maybe only on special ocassions..
