Buying pet food online with Kohepets

Smithankyou     5/18/2018 01:39:00 PM     brover, kohepets, marshall, online shopping, pets, sponsored post, Ted     3 comments

Brover . Marshall . Ted

One of the most frequently asked questions that I get from people visiting my house is how my dog and cats can actually live in harmony. I wouldn't exactly say it's in harmony since Brover bullies Ted quite a bit while Marshall avoids Brover at all costs. Ted and Marshall have a longest running love-hate relationship where they hug and sleep together for a moment and fight in the next.

Truth is it's not that hard. It's probably a myth that dogs will always hate cats. That being said,  that might be some truth to it because of differences in living habits and playing style but one thing that brings them all together has to be food.

It's not easy to handle these 3 little ones especially after having little Seth. Lucky for us we have my helper who will give us a hand in everything and of course Kohepets!

Kohepets is an online pet supplies store that specialises in premium pet brands, such as Addiction, Wellness, Merrick and K9 Natural. They have one of the widest product ranges available online. With over 6,000 products, I'm sure you can find anything you like and best part? SENT TO YOUR DOORSTEP! They even offer free shipping if your purchase is over $60 which is very easily achievable if you are getting big packs of food for your furkids.

They even have a section where you can get free sample before buying so you will know if your pets really like the product before buying!

And if you a new pet owners you can also find loads of tips on their blog too!

Anyway, enough of me talking. Go check them out!

Lazada Singapore – The bigger name of online shopping

Smithankyou     10/25/2016 09:00:00 AM     online shopping, protips     2 comments
There are more reasons than one for online shopping. And if you are in Singapore what better could there be than Lazada Singapore where you can shop to your heart’s delight and get the best stuff for yourself. If you are wondering why Lazada is one of the best shopping sites, I can share my own experience that will give you enough grounds to believe what I am saying about this mega shopping site.

Timely deliverables

When you are shopping with Lazada Singapore, you can be rest assured of timely deliverables. This is something I have experienced more than once, even when I have shopped during peak shopping times like Christmas of the Great Singapore Sale. No matter what you buy, you are sure to get your parcel right on time. Lazada will never disappoint, I never was in the last three years! With Lazada Singles Day Sale, you can get some mind blowing deals and shop for your favorite product at unbelievable prices! This special day that was started by China in 1990s is actually an annual shopping event that takes place on November 11th to celebrate their singleton status! It soon gained popularity across South East Asia and is celebrated by most countries here as a mega e-commerce extravaganza. Single’s Day is just around the corner and it is incomplete if you are not shopping enough. So if you have not started shopping yet, time is just right!

Amazing deals and discounts

With Lazada you can look forward to some great discounts and deals no matter which time of the year you are shopping. If you are planning to indulge during festivals or even otherwise you can expect amazing offers on leading brands. Electronics, garments, lifestyle products, accessories, health, beauty, home appliances, you are sure to get pocket friendly deals while you shop during the much awaited Lazada Halloween Sale especially with Lazada Discount Code. Halloween is here and if you have not shopped to celebrate this fun filled festival, then you ought to do it right now. Apart from shopping, you can look forward to weeklong celebrations if you are in Singapore. You can check out many of the numerous events at the island’s favorite hotspots and indulge in some spooky delight! Sign up for coupons and vouchers from Paylesser, where you can buy tickets for all kinds of entertainment at discounted rates like I did especially when I am with friends.

Safe and Secure Payment

When I spend with Lazada, I am sure that my money is safe. Though online shopping has come up in a big way, it has also given rise to fraudsters who make good money with guileless customers. I have heard of a couple of instances when people have been tricked into parting with their money and have got nothing in return. But with Lazada, your money is 100% safe no matter what the amount is. Their safe payment gateways across the site even during special festivals like Halloween make sure that your money is secure. With coupons and vouchers from Paylesser, you can get additional discounts on whatever you buy. This is something I never miss especially when I am planning my holidays for some real money saving travel deals.

Wide range of Products

When it comes to Lazada, you can browse through one of the most extensive range of products no matter what you want to buy and be spoilt for choice. At least when I am shopping for electronics or garments or beauty products, I am truly impressed at the wide collection the store has! These are some important reasons that have made Lazada Singapore, the most popular online shopping destination. So if you are in Singapore and are wondering how and where to shop from, log on to Lazada Singapore, for an unforgettable shopping experience!

The StreetDeal.sg Story

Smithankyou     8/17/2015 10:16:00 AM     case study potential, media, online shopping, scam, social media, streetdeal, streetdeal sg, the newpaper, the straits times     109 comments
Life is funny this way. I was feature on TheNewPaper just 1 week ago for being a really happy online shopping addict.

But horror strike rather quickly and I was on the papers again, this time on The Straits Times for being an unhappy shopper. Things sure change very quickly online.

Thanks for the pic @rainnabe (on twitter)
So what exactly happened? I will try to write the account in simple easy to follow point form.

StreetDeal

1. Purchase

I might be an online shopping addict but I only shop on sites that I really trust. For example Taobao, Lazada, Carousell, Amazon, Ebay, Q10 etc and it is really out of the norm that I buy things from sites like Groupon, Streetdeal or Deals because I've heard enough of them but when my blog buddy Melva approached me to help her buy something off Streetdeal.sg because their office blocked it, (for the best) I did not hesitate and just did the purchase.

2. Payment

So for those who are interested to look at the user interface on how I actually missed those details, here's how it looks.

Like I admitted. I did miss the whole banner which says $88 quaterly and also under the TnC. This screen shot was later sent to me by the streetdeal staff highlighting the two boxes.

2.1 Smith Vs Payment Page

The banner looks more like an ad to me.

The First checkbox besides "$88 quaterly" was default "checked" which means it was an "opt out".

The final checkbox is a MUST check in order to purchase and I really just click it after reading "i acknowledge". Yes my bad to not read the full sentence.

The $88 wasn't included in the total amount checked out. That is the most important box that we always pay attention to!

3. The Invoice

3.1 Smith Vs Invoice

Once again, the total checkout amount only shows the $16.10.

Yes, they did once again show that there will be an $88 charge at the TnC, which I (and everyone else) did not see.

I did forward this to my friend as a confirmation and she too missed it.

This was the ONLY invoice I received. I did not receive another invoice about the later payment of $88. I logged into the purchase history and the $88 wasn't reflected as well. I only found out of this payment thanks to the Credit Card Bill.

4. Refund

Me being me wanted to just let it slide and take it as it is my fault since I am well, in some way not attentive enough to see those fineprints. I am a fair person and I will admit to my mistakes. Although it looks as much that they tried their very best to hide it, I was ashamed by making an amateur mistake of trusting online sites so easily. I think I got too comfortable with online shopping.

We did not let it slide because my buddy Melva felt that it is unfair to hide it and after multiple angry emails, we managed to get it refunded in streetdollars which means I had to shop with them AGAIN!

I was served with "Fun coupons".

5. Gave up and Shop Again.

I hate such tiring procedure and I thought since I have $88 credit back I might as well just spend it and call it a day but guess what?

I WASN'T ALLOWED TO SHOP UNTIL I CLICK THE SAME TnC AGAIN!! So once again I emailed them and they told me I can only buy non premium and non flash sale item.

How much more trouble must I go through for this like seriously!! I am seriously very tired and all I want to do is do some shopping.

6. The Rant

Keyboard warrior at my best lah. So I rant on my Facebook page of course.

And I gotten many comments within my friends that they also encountered the same and some what similar issues over the last 2-3 years until today. And also the attention of ST.

7. Google Before You Buy

I think this must be one of the greatest reminder. What happened to the very alert and vigilant me. I got soft over the years of living in peace of online shopping. I Should have googled them before I did my purchase! There are so many of such reported cases online about them and I simply miss everything!!

https://sg.news.yahoo.com/customers-complain-about-streetdeal-singapore-%E2%80%98trap%E2%80%99--company-responds-093640798.html

They were even on Yahoo some years ago and they are still operating now. You know what does that means? It means that CASE can't do anything to them. It means that the law can't do anything to them. Why? My best guess is simply because in the forms, we did checked the TnC that we kinda acknowledge everything. So, yes, I guess we have to pay the price for being careless.

According to the interview with ST they seem to have to answer to careless people like me pretty often. So I hope everyone read this and be more careful and do not trouble them anymore by asking them to refund and all.

Anyway

So I guess it is my bad and I hope everyone stay alert for anything online. READ ALL THE TnC!

In fact, just shop at Taobao for all your needs. And also if you are interested in comments of this post.

StreetDeal customer bought a set of drum sticks on sale for $16.40, but was charged an additional $88 for 'premium membership'. str.sg/ZhPS

My Favourite Online Shopping Site

Smithankyou     5/13/2015 12:55:00 PM     carousell, CherryAffairs, lazada, online shopping, playstation, shopback, shopping, taobao sea     12 comments
So I was discussing with some friends about going overseas and what kinda trips is your dream trip. If you asked me this question few years back I would probably tell you I love shopping trips over site seeing or beach holidays. Not exactly because I got into this beach life style but it is simply because shopping online has became so easy and you can almost get and everything online while at the comfort of your underwear!

Shopping in underwear can be a lot less weird if you are doing it at home and in front of your computer actually.  (pictures from google search)
Before you all think this post is a sponsored post by multiple brands I am telling you it is not. Although some of these sites were my sponsors once but I am still spending money with them! #OnlineShopaholic. And also because it is very busy to be a superhero, fighting crime and protecting you all. So I don't really have time to go to the shops and buy things myself.

THE COUNT DOWN BEGINS!

5. LAZADA.SG

Although it has been awhile since I bought something from Lazada but I must say they are the go-to place if you are looking for any gadget, watches or home appliances kinda product. Not only do are the items prices reasonable but their service is great. Their shipping speed and the condition of the items reaching me is perfect.

4. CherryAffairs.com

Because sex toys.

3. Playstation Network Store - PSN

Because you're just jealous of our boobs. PS4
Because Playstation is the coolest console ever. There's really a lot of fun games you can download for you PS3/PS4. Especially the classic games that you can no longer find in stores. And best of all your wife can't keep track of how many games you have gotten this month. :D

2. Carousell

I know there are a lot of jokes and negative feedback and even a site dedicated to trolls but carousell is really your solution to anything 2nd hand. Ever since carousell, I hardly go to forums to look for 2nd toys or stuff anymore. Carousell is really a good place to look for anything which is off season and hard to find at retail anymore. Best part is it is really easy to use on the smart phone. Who would have though a simple app started by some student can come so far!

1. SEA.TAOBAO.com

Can't get a nice screen grab. This looks like I'm saying "HEYYYY"
No money for getting this correct. They are my "favoritest" client back then and I must say they really change my way of shopping. I will "taobao" to check the price or if I can get it off taobao before buying things from anywhere else. I saw a deck of poker card the other day that was selling at $19.90 in retail and it was $2 on Taobao before shipping and only around $3 after shipping. Tell me why shouldn't Taobao be number 1 on my list? And also because of Taobao, shopping at Bangkok, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan got a lot more boring.

Honorable Mention: Hipvan

They sell really cool and quirky stuff to be honest. Some of their things are like life hacks and really hipster like and make you feel way more unique than your friends but the reason why this ain't one of my shopping site is because they things can be pretty pricey. I guess this works for you if you are rich!

Shop and Save

Not the popular super market. I was introduced to this new service known as Shopback. I haven't try it myself but it looks pretty interesting. Basically it is like a credit card cash back function but specifically for online shopping site where you get certain cashback and they also earn a card for helping their clients (shopping site) to promote shopping on their site. I thought it is a pretty cool site. Maybe I would try it on my next purchase or you guys can let me know when you guys try it.

Quick Poll

P.S. Anyway in case you find this shopping post boring because you don't like to shop online, here is a MTV For you - Thrift shop by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Ecovacs Robotic Cleaner Review

Smithankyou     1/23/2015 02:12:00 PM     auto vacuum, deebot, ecovacs, ecovacs deebot, online shopping, robot vacuum, robotic cleaner, sponsored post, taobao sea     22 comments
You know your friends and you have grown up when you posted a picture of a robotic cleaner and everyone got very excited asking for reviews, price and where did I get it. You just can’t say no to time I guess. * shrugs *

Anyway, the long awaited review has arrived! I shall do it in a FAQ Version for easy reading.

* For the lazy people, scroll all the way down for TL;DR Version

deebot ecovacs

Does it really clean?

To be honest, I guess that is the very 1st question everybody ask. Everyone gets very skeptical about a new technology including myself. I’ve tested it and let it run and it really does clean the house pretty well especially for my place because of  the mess created by the the cat litter box .

You can actually set the timer and it will automatically moves around the house and do its round. The censor is pretty accurate and it will move around the whole house as long as you pick up all the floor mat that might tangle it. So the magic is set it an hour or 2 before reach home and you will always be greeted by a clean home when you return!

If you are not much into the timer cleaning function, you can also just turn it on when you are home and it has a few style of movement. You can also control it around like a remote control car! Haha.

Very Sexy Packaging too!

Is it noisy?

It is actually very quiet. Way quieter than conventional vacuum cleaners for sure.  If you know how db works, it is only 56 db.

Watch this video of how it moves around and how quiet it is.

From this video you also can tell how smart it is. It will not move into furnitures or wall. So you do not need to worry about it getting “hurt” or “hurting” your expensive furniture.

You have dogs and cats right, Is it pet friendly?

My cats got a little freak out the 1st few times but they just ignore it and jump onto high ground for safety. The dog just follows it around for a short while and lost interest it in shortly. So I guess I can say it is very friend. It’s not like a high speed robot so it will not hurt your pets for sure.

Told my wife I was vacuuming the floor and my dog ain't even affected by it moving around. Two fans? Because I'm fabulous like this.

How much ah?

It is currently on a promotion. Including shipping it is approx. $527 SGD.

I thought I saw got cheaper version. What is the difference? What so special this one?

There is a cheaper  version from the same brand as well. The one I have gotten here is smaller, lower at 88mm as compared to the 92mm. So it can actually go lower. (* cough.. snigger*)

Going down down down down~

It also has a bigger capacity bin. 0.7L vs the 0.3L which means you can have it clean longer before clearing out the dirt from the bin. So how big is 0.7L?

GPGT!!
More importantly for me is that it is the quieter version. 56db vs 60db. But to be honest, I am not sure how much louder is 4db.

You might not believe it just like I did not, this version actually comes with a mop function instead of vacuum. Just replace that vacuum part with the cloth given and it becomes a mop function. To be honest, I don’t really trust that part of it. I will still just use it as a vacuum.

And for people who are into product design, this version has a sexier remote control too.

Here's the very sexy remote!
Where to buy?

Where else but SEA.TAOBAO! But point to note. *** Very Important. NO PARCEL FORWARDING, parcel forwarding doesn’t support lithium batteries so this can’t be bought using our forwarders that’s why special deal shipped direct

Place order with Singapore / Malaysia Address. Uncheck Parcel Forwarding. UNCHECK YOUR FORWARDER!! ***

Buy Here: http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=39289896134&tracelogww=ltckbburl

Since CNY is round the corner and you are buying this, you can check out the other CNY promotions too!
http://www.taobao.com/market/global/groupon2014.php

Conclusion

This gadget is really very good for maintaining the cleanliness of your house on a daily basis especially for lazy young couples like my wife and I. It takes up much duty from us after a long day of work and I really think this is a very good investment.

Bonus!!!

And if you are really considering buying it, check out Taobao Facebook Page as well as it will be releasing a 20Yuan Hongbao to offset this purchase. So don’t forget to check it out! https://www.facebook.com/taobaosea

UPDATE 26th Jan 2015

Looks like this article was pretty well received and I've gotten quite a fair bit of replies and more questions from you guys so I am going to share a little bit more here!

What if some of the parts spoilt leh?

They are pretty much ahead of us. Just look at all the spare parts that came in the package!

The grey cloth is the mopping cloth I was talking about earlier!
Can I check out its bottom?

That didn't sound very right to me but here you go. As you can see there is an all directional rotatable front wheel which helps it to move into any area. You can see the "flippers", and you also learnt that they are replaceable from the previous spare parts picture. The two silver mental piece is actually the charging port where power is restored. And the green duster area is actually when the dust will be sucked in.

How do I clear the dust?

Just like any vacuum cleaner, you can simply remove the bin compartment.

How Does The Schedule Function Works?

I think this is one of the most amazing function which I have mentioned earlier. Just to share a bit more in details. You can actually set a timing like an alarm clock and Deebot will be activated on its own. Deebot will clean your place and it will save a small amount of battery enough for him to find his way home and continue to charge again. Yes! Deebot knows his way home. Got Video Got Talk! And yes, this is my favourite function. Super cool!

For demonstration purposes, I will just use the "Back to base" button which is on the remote. There are more than 1 way for it to go home and you do not even need to carry it yourself.

The RESULT

I think this is the most important part. The result! I let it ran like 1 hr a day for 3 nights and this is the result.

That's the charging unit at the back ground
Power of 3 pets.

TL;DR Version: GOOD! BUY IT NOW!
