Lego Diablo 3

Smithankyou     3/07/2014 10:03:00 AM     diablo3, Eatcannotbig, game, Humour, lego, Lego Vs Diablo, random, The Lego Movie, toys     No comments
You know how brands like to cross each other to combine their fan base? Over the years we have brands like Marvel Vs Capcom, G.I.Joe vs Transformers or simply a mashup of brands like these.

And of course there's also on that rumoured to be happening really soon which is everyone's favourite hero that lives on 221B Baker Street - Sherlock Holmes.

And with the latest Lego movie, we do know that multiple brand clashing into one Lego show ain't impossible. For the benefit of those who didn't watch The Lego Movie, they have a massive mashup of characters from DC, Harry Potter, TMNT, Starwars and even my favourite NBA - Shaq!

From www.bustle.com
So with Diablo 3 expansion ROS on the way, I started thinking ahead. What about a mash up of a game instead of just movies?
The battle against Diablo never stops!
And introducing the cast!
Dumbledore the Wizard
Emmet the Barbarian
One of my favourite! WlydeStyle the Demon Hunter!
Lego Smith (That's Me!) as The Last Jedi! - #Shameless new class
Random Japanese Ninja Old Man As The Monk!
Comic Relief Team - Witch + Doctor = Witch Doctor!
Benny The Spaceman as The new Reaper Of Soul Class - Crusader!!
DIE DIABLO!! DIE! (But we secretly hope you don't so we have more instalment of this game.)
You didn't ask me but...

Some people ask me why I love to play toys so much. Some people enjoy computer games, some people simply enjoy collecting the toys and put them in sealed box. As for me, I'm a little of a control freak. The reason why I like to play with toys is simply because you can create anything you want. The mashup, the storyline, the character development. It's just as good as making a movie of your own. Best part? The good don't always win in my stories. :)

Mr.Smith, CHEONG AHHHH!!!

Happy Prawning at Big Splash East Coast Park.

Smithankyou     2/22/2014 02:41:00 AM     birthday, debbie, diary, east coast park, fish@big splash, Friends, lego, prawning, prawning at big splash     1 comment
Sometimes I think about the things I've done and sometimes I think about the things I didn't do. I ask myself what did I do to deserve some things I have in life and also ask myself about what did I not do to be where I am. - Self Doubt. As positive or as driven I am, I live in self doubt which not many knows and one of the biggest doubt I have in life sometimes is - "How did I get so lucky and meet so many nice people in my life?"

I started the year 2014 with a resolution of spending more time with my friends which I obviously haven't been really doing a lot but I'm still blessed that my friends are always there to ask me out despite my bad habit of rejecting them, double booking or even last minute kite flying.

But boy am I glad that I'm able to make it for tonight's ad-hoc meet up with the "Eastie Tweetup Gang"

From left to right: Smith (me), Chris, Junnie, Nic, Pris and Deb.
I 1st met these guys thanks to Donald, a junior of mine during poly days. He introduced me to this thing call Tweetup in 2009. At that point of time, I have this blog as well as a Twitter account which was hardly used and I know almost nothing about social media but meeting these people changed my life. I attended my 1st Tweetup - #ShootUrTweeple and that when I was introduced to a world of endless possibilities (And chick picking - best thing ever.).

Almost 5 years has past since we 1st met and we are at different stages of our lives now, a lot has changed. Pris was then just a hungry jobless tigeress, Debbie was a struggling artist cum Gahment slaved student, Junnie was a Gahment Slave in the sea, Nic was a free lance web designer while I was a Marketing Exec with a blog that has a record high of 7 visits in a week (They are all myself btw.)

Tonight, we met up and WE PRAWN!!!

Prawning is not exactly my 1st choice of activities but I always believe that in friendship, we try things for our friends because what matters the most is the company and I have to say this $33 for 3hrs of prawning was pretty well spent. I am not the most patient person in town but I sure did survive this 3hrs pretty quickly.  It was actually kinda find and surprisingly nice environment. Not smelly, not infested with mozzie and although it's outdoor it's not warm at all! Unlike one of those that I've visited at Pasir Ris farmway before which was pretty horrible.

Me and my Ex-Gf.
Everybody else!
Ex-Gf not bad, end of night result - 3 prawns!
Junnie didn't prawn but he help to entertain lah hor~
The "lao jiao" who caught a real big one! Look, Nic is happy about it.
Abang Junnie feels sad for prawn cause we need to break his pincer.
Mr.Impatient did pretty well as well actually, total score - 2 Prawns!
Debbie finally got her 1st prawn but it was kinda tiny and Junnie is totally blocking it. Totally no luck despite being the birthday girl! HAHA.
Final Score - Pris 4, Chris 3, Smith 2, Debbie 1 - Total 10!
I'm happy with my tiny shrimp and non-existence bye-cep.
Prawning Details:

Name: Fish@Big Splash
Website: http://www.fishatbigsplash.com/
Damage: 3hrs for $33 which includes rod and baits.
Address: 902 East Coast Parkway, #01-30, Block H, Big Splash,Singapore 449874
Opening Hours: 24hours!

And oh, it was also a pre-celebration for Debbie's birthday and we celebrated her "1st moment" of her birthday at the 7-11 and you probably could put your finger on what we were doing. We were buying blind packs from The Lego Movie!

Finally, my blind pack touching skill was being appreciated. I managed to fish everyone what they wanted and they were all very impressed and happy at the same time. As for me, I'm even more happy cause I've finally found my Mermaid and Cat lady who are both rares! And in case you are wondering which are the rares are which are not...

Each brand new box of these blind bags comes in 60 bags and this is what you will get.

6/60 are commons
4/60 are uncommons
2/60 are rares.

I'm glad everyone had fun because I sure did!!

Mr.Smith, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!!

*Disclaimer: Mr.Smith paid for his own prawning session as well as lego mini figs!

I've like 979851273612413 other post in my head that I really wish to blogged about and also some of my sponsored post that I SHOULD be writing but I am really not really in the mood.. So here is one for my latest craze - THE LEGO MOVIE!!

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!

SPACESHIP SPACESHIP SPACESHIP!!!

NOW SING ALONG!!

[Chorus: Tegan and Sara]
Everything is awesome, everything is cool when your part of a team
Everything is awesome, when you’re living out a dream

[Verse: Tegan and Sara]
Everything is better when we stick together
Some have said you and I are gonna win forever
Let's party forever
We’re the same I’m like you, you're like me
We are a working harmony

[Chorus: Tegan and Sara]

[Verse: The Lonely Island]
Woooo! 3, 2, 1, go!
Have you heard the news? Everyone’s talkin'
Life is good ‘cause everything awesome
Lost my job, there’s a new opportunity
More free time for my awesome community
I feel more awesome than an awesome possum
Dip my body in chocolate frostin'
Three years later wash off the frostin'
Smellin’ like a blossom, everything is awesome
Stepped in mug, got some new brown shoes
It’s awesome to win and it’s awesome to lose

[Verse: Tegan and Sara]
Everything is better when we stick together
Side by side, you and I gonna win forever?
Let’s party forever
We’re the same, I’m like you, you’re like me we are working in harmony

[Chorus: Tegan and Sara]

[Verse: The Lonely Island]
Blue skies, bouncy springs, we just named a few awesome things
A Nobel prize, a piece of string
You know what’s awesome? Everything!
Dogs with fleas, allergies
A book of Greek antiquities
Brand new pants, a very old vest
Awesome items are the best
Trees, [frogs], clogs, they’re awesome
Rocks, clocks, and socks, they’re awesome
Figs, and jigs, and twigs, that’s awesome
Everything you see or think or say is awesome

SEA Taobao FAQ + Buy of the Month!

Smithankyou     1/09/2014 02:02:00 PM     costume, craftholic, lego, matrix, necklace, online shopping, taobao, taobao sea, toys     37 comments
It's time of the month again where I show off my Taobao SEA buy!

#happyparcelday ? More like #DamnBlardySuperHappyParcelDay

Other than showing off my buys over and over again, I will be sharing some of the links of the things I've purchased. This is partly because I've been getting too many requests on the images for links and also quite a few questions. I guess I will start with the purchases link and followed by the FAQ.

*Point to note: there are always more than 1 seller selling the same thing so feel free to find alternate ones if you think any of the things should be any cheaper.

Necklaces: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=14434726638

Animals Pajamas : http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1.w1004-3420537405.11.Xy4gnH&id=17828442081

F . A . Q:

Q: How to buy at Taobao ah?
A: Good people at Taobao has got the answer! Link

Q: How do I ship to Singapore? I thought Taobao doesn't send to Singapore?
A: Good news, the (not so) new Taobao SEA does! They have four selected partners working with them on that! Not just Singapore but also Malaysia!

Q: Do I still need a 3rd party shipping company or middle man? Where do I find them?
A: Nope! The good thing about Taobao SEA is that everything is done on the site itself. You do not need to find your own middle man or pay the seller, pay the shipping bit by bit, everything is done seamlessly on 1 site as if you are buying directly from 1 person.

Q: How much is the shipping? Is it really saving us money? Is it worth it?
A: Shipping cost as below. Every 1st Kg is 35 RMB which is around $5 SGD and 24 RMB there after.

Q: How many days does it takes to reach Singapore?
A: Usually for the forwarder that I uses (4px), it takes them about 3-4 days to reach Singapore which is pretty standard, but for the seller delivery to 4px, you guys might need a bit of luck because it differs from seller to seller. I've had a seller who told me that she only send her product once a week so if you are lucky and you click on purchase before the cycle you will get it rather quickly cause their domestic delivery usually takes no more than 3 days. Else, if you miss the cycle you will have to wait for 1 week before she send her product out.

Q: Got English version or not? I see Chinese text until I want to faint already.
A: If you are on Google chrome, you can actually use google translate which is pretty good but I prefer the original Chinese context.

Q: The things you buy so cheap. Is it real?
A: It really depends on what is real to you.  If you are skeptical, you can always message the seller for more information. They are usually honest about it, if it's A grade OEM products they will give you a headsup.

Q: Any final tips?
A: Always search around for option and not jump onto the 1st shop cause each items can be sold by different seller at different price. When buy in bulk, always use the blue "water droplet" icon, talk to seller and ask for discount or free domestic shipping. Also, always bookmark your stores you like, cause they will always have new items!

I hope I answered some of your questions on this post. Feel free to drop me a comment below or Tweet me at @Smithankyou. I will be more than happy to answer your questions regarding Taobao or sex

Here is the video I did last month on the things I've purchased previously! Enjoy!

Mr.Smith, People who says that money can't buy them happiness didn't heard of SEA Taobao!

Different versions of LEGO STAR WARS: Millennium Falcon

Smithankyou     8/19/2012 05:45:00 AM     geek, lego, Millennium Falcon, Star Wars, toys     No comments
It has to be the dream ride:

Year 2011
The LEGO Star Wars Millenium Falcon 7965. 1238 Pieces. Around $329 SGD.

I went and google a bit to realize that it's pretty big,

But as I google on... I realize that this might not be what I am getting myself into as I realize there are more versions of it...

year 2004
Some details about this set: here 985 pieces.

And there are more: This set seems easier and more suitable for me: 356 pieces only.

year 2009
And this really weird looking set. If details are right it should be the 1st ever FM. : 659 pieces only.

year 2000
Actually they even have a smaller one. Which looks kinda ugly to me. 87 Pieces!
Year 2003
And it seems to me that this is the REAL deal: model number 10179: Total of 5195 pieces!

year 2007
This is how it looks fixed up.
COOL RIGHT!

So over the years there are actually so many different versions of Millennium Falcon! Thanks http://bricker.ru/ for all these information!

Mr.Smith, this has to be the coolest post ever!

Happy 80th Birthday LEGO!

Smithankyou     8/13/2012 11:28:00 AM     happy birthday, iRemember., lego, toys     No comments
Happy 80th Birthday Lego!

Stumble upon this video and it's way too awesome! This is basically the history of Lego in 17mins.

Me being me, I have very(I mean VERY) short attention span and most youtube videos can't go past the 3mins mark for me and I actually stayed and completed the 17mins video. That says a lot about the video doesn't it?

Isn't it very inspiring and interesting?

I've always been a fan of LEGO but to be frank it ain't the cheapest toy out there. That being said, my mum will still try her best to buy me what she could and I remember my biggest set ever was the Pirate ship.

It was so long ago but I believe it looked something like this.

None of my LEGO sets really stayed the way they should for longer than a day or two. I will always break them up and reconfigure them to the way I like it and more often into Robots, Cars, Battle Machines. I'm a violent kid, I know. I even remember drawing some of the instruction myself so I could make those designs again.

Although LEGO is a little pricey but I really like it's endless fun and I am sure it contributed to how creative and how I always look at things different today. It sure beats the kids facing the computer all day long no?

And this is my LEGO story, what's yours?

Mr.Smith, fix, unfix, fix, unfix, fix.
