A Cheese Tart better than BAKE

Few weeks ago when I was at BKK for work, I managed to steal some time out to grab a BAKE cheese tart. It was the same week when it came to Singapore with a reputation of being Hokkaido's best cheese tart. As a result, Singaporeans once again rushed down to the mall and queue like they have never queued before.

Oh, there was no queue at BKK. Not at all. I walked in and out with my tart within 3 mins. In fact, I finished my tart within the same 3 mins as well. Not too sure if tart was small or mouth is too big.

Fast forward to 3 weeks later, and guess what? The queue is still as disgustingly long. At least 2hrs wait to get your hands onto this cheese tart. I am pretty sure queuing for things is a national hobby.

With the arrival of Hokkaido's best cheese tart, (which I found it so-so) many local bakery has also started selling their own cheese tarts. Remember the whole Bubble Tea nonsense? I guess it is the same thing all over again (just that I'm no longer 16 years old). But I would give more credit to cheese tart over bubble tea. There's really not much skill when it comes to making a cup of bubble tea. (I think. Just pour in only right.)

So the other day while I was walking down the road, thinking about life and suddenly got hungry, I stepped into one of the most mainstream restaurant and saw this normal looking cheese tart waving at me. I swear it was waving at me. Not like I was that hungry and started having hallucination.

I saw it there...

Then I bought it...

Then I ate it...

Then I.. WAHHHHH..  MOTHER OF GAWDDDD

You saw it right! It's from Hanis. If you have no idea, Hanis is the halal version of Hans. I've no idea if it is available island wide but I found it at the Wikie edge branch. It is going at $3 for a pop and currently it is having a promotion of buy 5 get 1 FREE!!

Guess who bought 5 after that. :D

And no, no code for you to quote and get discount. Smith also paid for them at full price lor. But I swear it's worth the money!!!

My Bangkok Trip in Numbers

Despite the fact that I am working at a tour agency, writing tour blog post ain't exactly something I do best of enjoy. I hate reading travel log like tell you what I do day 1 to day 4. I mean I get bored writing it less say you reading it.

I am not exactly very good at street photography to show the country with nice pictures. And those places I have visited ain't exactly something I can share in terms of "5 best shopping malls in Bangkok" type of articles so I guess for easy reading I will share information in terms of numbers. Because people like to ask me like "how much is this" and that kinda questions and I am very bad with such details. So I better write it down before I forget.

of steps I walked at BKK. As accurate as Jawbone says it.

So now I am back and I hope this post shine some light on things you need to know about my trip if you are even interested. To be honest, BKK ain't exactly my favorite country to go because Taobao ruined it. Everything I might like or wish to buy can be found on Taobao but lucky for me I had fun travel companion to make it fun and also all the good food that cannot be found on taobao.
