When I was first introduced to the movie, the only thing that went into my head was:
Eh, Tai Chi lah, if other people can do just let others go do. |
Anyway, I must say that TaiChi 0 is a refreshing and interesting show especially for a Chinese movie. Been awhile since we have something that interesting in the Chinese movie scene. It's directed by Stephen Fung.
Yup, this "ah-beng" from X yrs ago is now a director. |
Refreshing Moment #1: Deliverable.
Although the story plot was very straight forward, typical boy needs to learn kungfu, meets a town that is in trouble and through some incident manage to learn the kungfu, the deliverable was really amazing. It doesn't feels like you are just watching another show but more like you are playing a RPG game in the cinema. The graphics and concept and the ideas. That is the 1st refreshing moment for me.
Refreshing Moment #2: Cast.
Gone with the days where action flicks must have Jet Li, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan or Donnie Yen. Introducing the all the
Who is he you asked me?
Apparently he is some winner in Wu Shu during 2010 games! Cool right? Wushu Master turns Movie star. And not just him, the show was filled with young action prodigies as well as old skool kungfu master from yesteryears. We might not know their names but they sure look familiar.
Eye Candy: None other than Angelababy:
NUFF SAID. She's hot. Although she looks a little too skinny in the show but she's hot hot hot. Angelbaby in Taichi 0. Who would have expected that?
Refreshing Moment #3: Part 2.
I know most of us hate sequence to movie cause we have to wait. Cause it's going to suck as compared to part 1. But guess what? The wait ain't exactly that long, part 2 is coming your way on Oct 25th which is exactly 3 weeks after the airing of part I, so if you could hold your urge of watching this show until the last week, the wait is less than a few days. If you could I mean. God, it's Angelababy. :x
Refreshing Moment #4: Music
The music is really cool. It's like rap and all. Totally powerful and fits the show. It's hip and it's like like typical old boring classical and very chinese. It's so modern.
Overall I think this show is worth watching and I will go catch Part 2 of it for sure. Leaving you with the trailer of the movie. Go catch it! TaiChi 0: From Zero To Hero: In all major cinemas near you this coming October 4th. 太极1之 : 从零开始
Mr.Smith, Tai Chi Master. Anybody wanna help me blog? Lai lah, guest blog lah.. :x
