Take5ive Energy Review

Ok ok.. STOPPPP.. before this sounds like one of those cheesy commercial, I just wanna share with you guys a new product which was introduced to me recently. 

It's Take5 Energy Shot! 

Before we move now, I have to be honest with you that Take5ive energy shots is one of my clients but for readers who knows me well enough or have been following my blog knows my style about writing the truth about products during product reviews. I will still write about what I like and what I dislike about the product here. 

Basically Take5ive Energy Shot comes in two different formula and 2 different flavours. 

Although it's name is Energy drink and most of you guys will simply relate it to sports and workout, this is where I have to stop you. It's more than just for sports or workout. Below is a simple log of a day I drank Take5ive. My main point about this log is to showcase how much energy it gave me in terms of hours of sleep.

Just to let you have a better understanding of my usual sleep cycle:

I will normally sleeps at around 1am and wakes up at 8am daily: - 7hrs

I can normally survive a full day with 5hrs of sleep. 

3rd August : Slept at 3am. 

4th August : Woke up at 7am. : Total hours of sleep : 4hrs

Activity on 4th August : 

Started the day with watching videos (Hong Kong Drama). Went to drums alive workshop with "Team Take5".

We did an hour of workout. Drumming on the Yoga Balls, jumping and dancing. It was really fun.

Although we were advised to come in sports attire,my diva friend Chrispytine decided to come in her sexy PJ. I had a hard time(not what you are thinking) trying to focus on my ball. I mean yoga ball.

very sexy shorts. even sexier if you see it on that day.

One of the key "personality" of this Take5ive energy shot is that it has 0 Sugar, 0 Calories and 0 Carbs. So for ladies who are very careful about what they put in their mouth(yes I said it.) this is totally not fattening. 

Because of the fact that there is no sugar, some users complains about the weird taste and it being not tasty. 

We thought it will be sweeter if we drink it this way. Get it?

Personally thought that it taste pretty okay. Although it's not like a drink that I will go "It's so nice I want another shot" but I think it taste pretty okay if it's the energy that I am looking for. 

I am not sure about the rest but I was pretty hyper after the shot. Especially when I am a default "high" kinda guy. So I started camwhoring...

I needed another job so I started selling sushi.

We end the workshop with a blast but I continued my day with crazy walking shopping at Orchard on a weekend. What was I thinking. I got home at around 12am but the night did not end there. I started playing PS3 and what not. And I only went to bed at almost 3am and I wasn't feeling sleepy but instead I forced myself to bed cause I am suppose to wakeup early the next day. And I woke up the next morning at 8am to set off to Sentosa for another day of Surfing fun.

In Summary

I could feel that Take5ive did prolong my day in terms of extra hours off the bed although I did not feel that it made me any better in the drumming session. Although it's mentioned that you get 5.5hrs of extra energy, I believe that individual's body resistance does makes a big difference. For example like myself, I do not need much sleep and thus I believe it did gave me more than 5.5hrs of sleep. So a little warning for those of you who wish to try it, you may wish to try half a shot for a start. I don't want you to be awake for 60hrs and call me to complain. heehee.. 

Other than the hours of sleep, I did not feel faster or stronger in that way but I did feel more energetic. I have yet to try it before my basketball game which I hope to be able to try it this coming week. Wonder if I could score more hoops or play like Kobe with the help of this drink. 

There is no way you could play like me just because of 1 drink. Fine, give me 1 as well.
