Ah Beng Vs Job Hunting Service Counter

Was talking to my buddy keong about job hunting and this thing just sparks me this morning.. the below conversation is NOT real..i just came out with it.. so DO NOT.. i repeat.. DO NOT take it seriously..


Job Hunting Service : Good Afternoon Sir, how can I help ?

Beng : erm.. I wanna change a job ah..

JHS : Okay.. any industry u are looking into ?

B : Actuarri... anything.. as nong as the company is big big and stable and pple there ish rike famberly hweeling..

JHS : Oh.. okay.. looks like working environment is very important to you ?

B : erm.. yayaya.. sumthing rike that..

JHS : So what u think u can do for the company ?

B : erm.. rike anything.. i dun mind learning.. anything i can do i do lor..pay also notch important

JHS : hmmm... when a company hire you..very likely they need your services to make the company better and earn money.. not to teach you what to do.. if you are looking for learning i think it's the school you need.

B: nono.. rike.. sexperience i need.. i actually anything also can lah..

JHS : why not try doing a sales job ?

B : dun want.. i dun like to talk to pple

JHS : ( thought u say evertything..) oh.. ok i see..

B : I want something like consultant.. i just seat there pple come ask me things i solve their problem..then my time also rike flexible so i can spent time go out.. spent time slack.. play game..and not too much responsibility..

JHS : that u will need alot of sexperi..nono.. i mean experience before you can do that..and consultant's job ain't as easy as you thought.. there IS alot of responsibilities as well..

B : YA LAH !! which is why i say i wanna learn and gain sexperience rah..

JHS : what about a tutor ?

B : dun want.. take up too much time..

JHS : but ur time is flexible you can plan it urself..

B : no rah.. u very short sighted leh.. u see ah.. i wanan earn moolah rike ? den if i 1 student = $100.. if i wanna earn $1000 means i need 10 student.. wah lau.. need to do more work than can earn more money i dun want..i want those my pay will go up but the things i do still about the same..

JHS : =.= ... oo....o...ok...

B : actually ur job rike easy leh.. seat here tell pple what job to do.. 8am - 5pm rike ?? den no sales target rite? like i see u like if no pple comes in find job u also nvm one rite ? also will not affect ur earnings ? ur company need pple or not ?

JHS : It looks easy but looking at ur application u do not have the relavance experience and..

B : I TOLD U RIAO RITE !!! I NEED SEXPERIENCE !! den u ask me go school.. knn leh u.. i already identify my problem u dun belip me.. now kip telling me i no sexperience..

JHS : *clutch fist* ok... so u are saying u want a job in a big and stable company and u dunno what u can do but u are willingly to learn but u dun wanna talk to pple and u also dun wanna have sales target and u want ur pay to raise without making u do more work..with flexible timing and not much responsibility when the time goes by..

B : CHIU FINARRY KNOW WHAT I WANT !!!

JHS : *Throw file* Walks away.....

So is there really no job out there for graduates ? is Singapore's available job lesser den the pple without a job ? whose fault is it when Singaporean
are complaining that Singapore company always looks for foreign talent ?

Some pointers when looking for job -

Before asking from the company, think of what u can give..

Before writing down ur expected pay, think about ur own value for the company..

Before talking u complain about the company's system, review ur own action..

Before you complains abt the situation around you, review your own situation..



Mr.Smith, pushing the blame to the other side of the boat is easy.. but can urside of the boat handle the situation when everything is on the otherside ?
