Best of "Let It Go"

Smithankyou     5/08/2014 03:43:00 PM     best of let it go, disney, frozen, Let it go, let it go parody, pixar, Singapore got talent     1 comment
I know it has been awhile but this whole "Let it go" thing is still pretty awesome. If you have no idea what is "let it go", you must be either staying in a cave or you are staying in a cave.

Even Loki is into it.

This is the original Let it go from the motion picture - Frozen.

And of course it got so popular that it comes in so many languages!

Here is one that has 25 Language!

Non-official but, HOKKIEN!

And one that gives you some laughter. Thank you Google Translate!

Of course, genius like this guy can sing it in not just languages but voices too!

And says who we have no talent in Singapore? In fact this is my favorite!

Send Melsa to Iceland lah!!

Anyway if you are still unsure about what's the big deal of Frozen. Here is the honest trailer!

Yes, my favourite is Melsa version!

Mr.Smith, The Cold Nv bothered me anyway

Movie Review: Planes

Smithankyou     9/03/2013 11:55:00 AM     cartoon, disney, feel good movie, movie, movie review, pixar, planes     3 comments

Funny story, when I 1st saw this movie trailer in the cinema without knowing what show it was, I had a funny conversation with my wife which went something like this:

Me: Wah, all this planes quite cute. looks like from cars.

Wife: Ya, from the way the graphic looks should be same creator.

Me: Wonder what is the title, I wanna watch it when it's out.

Wife: doh, the other was cars this has to be planes right?

So, she got it right at the end of the trailer when the title was reviewed.

So we don't expect much of a twist in anything coming from a movie with a title that straight forward. The show is really one of the text book, underdog turn working class super hero feel good movie.

No big surprises but I must say this is one of those shows that you have to bring your kids to the cinema for. The execution was really good and the story was well, like I mentioned - feel good. You will come out of the cinema feeling good like you can achieve anything and everything. Best part, you wouldn't find a kid not understanding the story and needs too much of an explanation during the show.

My favorite plane - El Chupacabra!
So should you watch this? YES! In fact I so want to go to Toys R Us and collect the toys too!

I wonder if they are going to have :Trains, Ship, Boat, Bikes, Bicycle or whatever other transport to follow and grow this universe. It's kinda cute actually!

Did somebody say train?
Mr.Smith, TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!

We scare because we care - Monster University.

Smithankyou     6/18/2013 09:00:00 AM     diary, entertainment, event, Events, monster, monster inc, monster university, movie preview, movies, nat, pixar, SmithlovesAbby, sponsored post     No comments
Remember cute little "monster" boo from Monster Inc part 1?

BOO!
I'm sure you do if you caught Monster Inc 1. In fact, I am very sure many of us remember her name as compared to the two main characters of the show. Trust me, I am very sure many of you can't.
My name is not one eye nor is he big fella.
I was thrilled about this show when I heard about their plans on part two some time back and the very 1st question was, they no longer scare people right? So where is the story bringing us? Will S____ get to meet little boo again? Is Boo going to be all grown up and hot? Will the story cross and Boo becomes Andy's girl friend?

Hi Boo, I save their lives. Will you marry me?
Anyway, I am a big Pixar fanboy and I just can't wait for the show to be on the big screen. And finally, the poster was released and...

Now that's interesting... Are the boys going back to school or what? Or is it their son? This is the interesting part of Monster University! (Monster Inc 2) And that is you have no clue what to expect! And that is also the reason that I am not going to say too much and let you go discover.

Whatever the case is, I managed to score myself some tickets for the movie and the best part of this? I am bringing my little nieces along! It's the school holidays and nothing beats rewarding them with a nice new movie before any of their friends. They can now go brag to their classmates or friends that they have already caught the show before anyone else!

ROAR!!!
Little Abby (4) and Little Natacia (7)
It's actually the 1st time I brought the girls to the cinema and also a blogger event! Little Nat Nat was very into the show and actually asked me to act like a sleeping kid so she could do some scream test on me while on the other hand little Abby did some scream tests herself during the show. She was like "我不要!!!“  And if you were at the show and you heard that scream - yes, that's my date for the show and I'm sorry about that. haha. Little Abby doesn't like dark theaters but she was okay once the show came on and for her to stay 100 mins in the cinema, that was some record I must say.

I'm very happy I was able to bring the girls along as it's not everyday that we can score this amount of tickets for everyone especially during a preview show. I really appreciate the kind gesture. ;)

Overall the show was pretty enjoyable although I was expecting a lot more in terms of storyline linking back to part 1. The good thing is they do not have too much 3D scenes awkwardly inserted just for the sake of 3D.(Like some movies likes to throw something into you or an axe right at you. Those are just trying too hard IMO.)

Final Verdict: 3.5/5, you should catch it during the weekdays if your kids are interested or you are a crazy pixar fan like me.

And P.S, do stay for after credits material. It's funny and you will thank me for that. So, you are welcome.

Mr.Smith, AHHHHHHHHHHHH
