That 1,000 Woman in the Prison

Smithankyou     8/03/2015 11:17:00 AM     cheating, diary, drama, love, orange is the new black, relationship, Thoughts     No comments
So recently I got started on this show "Orange is the new Black". Not exactly a new show, 3 season but I just started last week and now I'm at season 3. #IDoNothingForMyWholeWeekend

And my favourite inmate is - Nicky! Because she is funny but also very sad story for her.

But the hottest inmate so far for me has to be Brook Soso. I always have something for ABC girls but her character in the show is so irritating that she can't be my favourite.

1,000 woman in the prison

Anyway this post ain't exactly about the show. I just wanted to share a convo between a friend and I this morning. Content - about cheating man. As in man who cheats in relationship, physically or emotionally. The golden topic about relationships that never gets old.

M: "She has been cheated on twice. Damn suay. That's why she is very worried on getting into a relationship and get cheated on again."

Smith: "There are 1,000 prisoners in the prison not because there are only 1,000 people who broke the law, it is simply because only 1,000 people got caught. She ain't suay that she found the 2 of 1000, just smart to have caught them. Smart enough to catch them doing it."

M: "You are so positive. (To make her feel good about herself) "

Smith: "Actually that sentence was a very sad sentence. I'm saying that all man cheats. (Some point of their life, big cheat, small cheat, physically or emotionally)"

M: "Yeah, Smart woman catches their partner doing it"

Smith: "Smarter woman pretend it didn't happen"

Thousands of books, thesis or what not has tried to explain why man ain't hardwired to be in a monogamy relationship but to many they are just excuses to make things better. It ain't a solution for all of course especially in this society where woman are asked to be treated equally. Of course, what we said here are some generally sweeping statement and people will say things "woman cheat too", "my husband has never ever cheated" etc. Good for you guys to have your own beliefs and I'm not here to change yours but I am just sharing our thoughts.

And here's a song that my friend DJ BehindTheBasics introduce to me that suits the theme.

Ashley Madison - Devil's avocate?

Smithankyou     10/25/2013 11:28:00 AM     AShley madison, cheating, current affairs, Really affairs, sex, singapore     2 comments
If there's one man that works for the devil, I thought it would be maybe like drug dealer, the person who convinced woman that they looked better with make up on or maybe the man who created Facebook and lie to everyone that we should all invest time and money on it but the truth is that there's always a bigger devil out there.

For example: Noel Biderman, founder of Ashley Madison. Ashley what?

In summary, this man with 3 kids and a wife has this website that makes discreet relationship really easy. It's an online dating website for the married.

So it created an uproar in Singapore that we should not allow this site into Singapore. Not only did it created an uproar but also a Facebook page. I can't say it's a fan page: Block Ashley Madison Singapore.

Most of the voices talks about how crazy this site is and the problems that it can caused with this site but some choose to think differently.

My Take...

Not having a site will not stop the cheaters from cheating and neither will it means that we will be all nice and fuzzy with our partners but I do believe that having such a site make things easier. It's like without age limit for cigs makes things easier for kids to start smoking and without ERP and COE we will all Jam up the road. (Ignore my last example, it's a bad one cause our roads are still jammed with ERP and COE.) Making things readily available makes a big difference. If we are fans and believer for self control, why is MDA blocking all my favourite porn sites even when I am an adult and should be allowed to surf my favourite porn? Why are we banning something as simple as chewing gums? Are Singaporeans ready for self control, discipline and respect?

Then again, I am saying this site will self moderate itself at the end of the day. The most dangerous place might end up being the safest and same goes for the other way round. If this is a well known cheating alternate dating site and you suspect your partner having an affair, where are you going to start checking first? Maybe his internet cache, surfing history or mobile app? If you know your partner will have their eyes on this site, will you still use it?

So if no one is going to use it...

So are we really going to get all crying out loud and making a fuss?

Noel says...

When asked about what if his own wife is found on the site,

"It's funny you bring that up. When I've been asked that question, I reply, "I would be devastated..." but the rest of my answer has been cut.

My complete answer was, "I would be devastated, but I wouldn't blame a website or an inanimate object." Reporters were trying to do their thing, so I stopped worrying about it. I'm comfortable raising my own family with this business as a backdrop."

Full article.

In conclusion...

Site - Bad.
Fear - NO.
Approve it - NO.
Join it - NO.
Make noise - NO.

End of the day, it might be like smoking, once you try it, there's no turning back. So just let it be I guess.  The more noise we are making, the more marketing it is getting isn't it? See, I'm blogging about it and this is not even a paid post. HAHA.

Mr.Smith, take a chill pill and just let it be.
