Dream Chaser - Mint Leong.

Mint Leong - one of the blogger that I met some time ago while during the "Brother" event. We did off right away and truth to be told, I've no idea she is actually around my age. She just gave me the vibe that she was 18 back then.

Shortly after, we got close because of Singapore Social Media Day by OMY where both of us were involved organizing it.

After knowing her better, I realize that there is something about her that I really respect - she is a Dream Chaser.
 
Some people call them unrealistic, some people call them fame whore or even stupid but to me I say they(she) is very brave. She came a long way for entertainment if you asked me. She did hosting, acting, singing and of course blogging. But to me, how many of your are brave enough to drop your bread and butter for dream chasing?

So I was at Mint's Music Show case 2 last weekend. I was very tired and show enough I do not feel like leaving my place at all but my respect and love for her motivated me to get my fat ass out and join the show case. I did not regret at all.

As it was a preview she only performed 3 of her originals and 3 covers. It definitely not enough.

I will like to highlight this song that she performed:

我的未來不是夢

I teared a little when she was singing this song. The story of 张雨生 was running in my head. The death of his which reminded me the death of my brother. The agony of them having everything to fulfill their dreams but time weren't on their side. The thought that hits me hard. The reality that many gave up dreams for something else.

Just like myself: although I have been having a lot of fun doing what I want but there too was a moment in my life that I wanted to be in the entertainment industry. I wanted to be a full time show host, I want to be like Mark Lee(not his skin thou) but I didn't because I just don't know where to go and I was too scare to try.

I respect this lady for trying. I don't know where will she end, I have no idea if she will make it big or not but at the end of the road she tried.
