Why I love V.day

So ladies and Gentlemen, how did you guys spent your V.day ? I know V day hasn't been the most popular day to many people or at least that's what twitter is telling me since the 13th of Feb. Many cynical tweets flying all over the timeline slapping dear St.V. I mean I do understand and I get it about how fuck up V day has become thanks to commercial activities and sales and what not. There is also this very "popular" saying about how V day shld be an everyday thing rather than a 1 day thing. But, Seriously? I think that is a little too idealistic no? It's like telling a business owner you can do audit any day and you do stock check any day ! I think V day has it beauty like after many of up and down, sweet and bitter you have spent with your partner, it's a good time to give him or her a pat on her back and show him/her a lil more love than ever. I mean I also know a lot of couples who try to push the date of V day celebration to another day to avoid the crowd or the price hike which I felt it's a reasonable on the practical aspect of it but as much as to keep the mood alive I say I will try to avoid it. The logic is simple, I do not avoid X'mas shopping just because it's crowded. I mean there are certain "mood" and more importantly date to each event. Call me traditional or "Carrot Head" but I stand firm that there is something about each date that we need to "respect" .

Anyway,



I did a textbook V day surprise for the gf. Got flowers, get my ass up early in the morning and travel allll the way to freaking NIE.. yes the GF's school and send the flowers.



No doubt, flowers were a lil more pricey but I am all happy seeing the smile on the gf's face. Now girls tell me you do not want this? Seriously ?

We were lucky, we had the luxury of celebrating V day from noon onwards thanks to the gf's timetable and my schedule. We went and had a good lunch at Wild horny honey . Not as crowded since it's just late lunch. The photos are still with the gf thus you have to bear with me with the all text only post from here onwards.

There after was a movie - It's a great great world. Awesome show, it's so awesome I actually cried a little at the end of the show. And I have to say Zhang Yao Dong, Bryan Wong and Chen Jian Bin was the show stealer at the end of the day. The kitchen scene was really good.

Did a little shopping after that and end off the day with the most amazing V.day dinner : Our Fav 201 PRATA !!!

Yes you hear me, when all of you guys are Q-ing all over the place for dinner I got away with a quiet prata dinner with the gf ! Yes, I know it's off all lovers guide to bring a girl to a PRATA shop for a date and definitely not on V day but guess what ? I did it and I totally nailed it ! :p ( I think). Anyway it's something different and it was special, fun and yes, tasty ! No hiked price, only 90 cents each for a ko-song prata !
