NBA IS Back !

Before I gonna say anything else,

I am going to share this video - Wiz 102 - Mav 91



Hell Yeah ! Opening victory is sweet.. so sweet.. more over it is a win over a playoff team.

I always knew the fact that Singapore's NBA scene is pretty bad due to the market value and thus the low exposure and before u knew it this things has already become a chicken and egg vicious circle and all we read and see is BPL. So does that means that if I am the only local NBA blogger I will be the top local NBA blogger? If I am not the only one, who is the other one? If any of you guys are seeing this and have a clue, please share with me as I am really glad to see like minded ones !

And I was pretty glad to see that there is an article on MyPaper about NBA although it's very short and pretty debatable ( all sports article are I felt) but I am really happy to see it hitting the papers, every effort counts !

So the season has tipped off and who are the teams going into the playoff? It's too early to tell since there is always injuries and mid season transfer window but let me do a bold analysis and see who should get their seat in the playoffs.

Western Conference

The land with greater power where it's not difficult to guess who makes top 8.

LA Lakers - I am putting them on the 1st seed, this is where they are going to be and will be, if nothings goes wrong they could easily make a repeat this season. Yeah, mark my words.

Mavericks - No joke, this is almost like the do or die season for them, age is catching up on both Jason and Dirk and with new trades like Shawn Marion and Drew Gooden, they should be able to make it on the 2nd seed. ( Yeah I know, they just lost to Wizards this morning, - you guys know I am a Wizards fan right ? )

Trail Blazers - They were in the playoff last season after missing it for like a good 4 season. ( correct me if i am wrong baby, I don't memorize these stats)Bradon Roy is like one of the best in the west and nobody is going to stop them and this time round I am putting my bet on Roy leading the team into 3rd Seed.


San Antonio Spurs - As much as how I never like their style since David Robinson's era, I have to give it to the team of Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. And now they have the all new Jefferson who is suppose to improve their offence, I wouldn't be surprise they might even be a 3rd seat.

Nuggest They made it pretty far last season thanks to Big Shot and Iverson ( he did help by leaving actually. = P ) I mean they can do what they have been doing the pass season and that's great, they didn't do anything wrong, in fact they do not deserve such a low ranking for their effort, but guess what ? The rest of the teams are improving and I can't have 2 on the same rank. So well, Nuggets, Impress me or else you will be staying at Seed #5 !

Hornets CP3 CP3 CP3.. who ? CP3 ? what ? CP3 ? oh.. is that all ? Fantasy league #1 PG. Is that enough for you to get a ring ? NEXT ~

Jazz They are a consistant team, in fact one of the team which I really like watching last season. Deron Williams and Boozer are very strong and great players. They could be like Seed #3 easily, IF they are in the east that is.

Suns They miss out last playoff, they have one of the best PG in town - Nash, so what happen ? I guess we all know the details and this time round they are hungry to get back, comon man we are talking abt a team of all stars, Stoudemire, Nash, Hill, Richardson, Barbosa and they have some depth too i felt.

Who I Left Out : Rockets . This 3 came close but no, a rockets with no yao, no more ron and who ? T.Mac? Who ? oh.. Ariza? Who ?Memphis : Young team with Iverson, i mean what can they do ? Clippers Somehow i got a feeling Griffin is like Oden, I wish I am wrong, very young very big and strong very talented but injured.. *slapforehead.

Eastern Conference

Very strong top table I would foresee and exciting mid table as their difference in standard ain't too far apart from anyone.

Celtics Who beat the Lakers by a good 39 points 2 season back ? Yes they are two year older and two years wiser, keep the old man healthy and you get an championship shot again. As much as I do not like the idea that everyone just come together for the sake of the ring but they have done it and they were good, if not for Garnett's injury last season they would have be in the finals and not orlando. Wallace? erm... nope.. not counting on him for too much a contribution.

Orlando Yeah baby, welcome to disneyland. They lost Türkoğlu to the raptos but I am not sweating on that, Orlando is not missing him for sure. Carter ! yes, one of the most exciting players to watch, great dunks great range I love to see him play and I sure hope he make it far with a great team after all the great work he has done for raptors and nets.

Wizards No, I am not kidding you and neither are you seeing anything wrong. They came back from a stink but this time round everyone is back ( okay, less Jamison. ) Look at the way they played this morning, I can feel it ! ( fine, I might be alittle bias on this call ) Arenas is back ! Bulter, Arenas, Haywood - All Stars are waiting for them ! P.S : Stay healthy, XOXO

Hawks To be frank they are one team I didn't really put much effort on watching. Hawks are just hawks to me.

Cavaliers What ? - 1 word - Shaq

Miami Heat I like Wade, I like beasley but they are just not enough.They could do abit better if O'neal is like who he was when he was at Pacer, maybe.

Bulls No Gordon, No Problem. Hinrinch is back and I hope they can make it into the playoff again. They were amazing to watch last season.

76ers I love Eddie Jordan and Iguodala is like a mini LBJ for me, and let's get our finger cross that Elton Brand is not screwing the equation and #8 seed is not a impossible for them.

I know we have Danny at Pacer and we have Turkoglu and Chris Bosh at Raptors and we have Michael Redd at Bucks and we have all time double double Lee at Knicks but that's all they have ! As for Detroit I just felt that they are in a mess now, so pretty high chance they will miss the playoffs with the rest of the team improving.

I mean comon, don't laugh at my prediction, I dun watch all season and I dun even get to watch the 82 games of my fav team. I just love this game.

And probably I will give a mid season prediction ?
