One thing I've learnt over the years of fighting my own body is that weight loss is not forever. I've talked about me losing weight and gaining weight a lot over the years on my blog. The journey is so tough sometimes I just feel like giving up.

Like, comon, it's all about that base right? All you skinny bitches don't teach me what to do but the truth is I just cannot. I like my slimmer self. I feel faster on the basketball court, I can find clothes easier instead of facing disappointment when the sales assistant tell me they do not have my size, and above all, I feel more confident. I like it when people tell me I look good, unlike some of their friends looking like uncles in their 30s.


That's me 2 yrs ago in Bali when I was 83kg.

I was over 100kg at many point of my life. I was 102kg at the age of 16, I was 101kg 1 year after my wedding. Somewhere in between I was around 80ish kg, I went into army and hit my personal low of 77kg which pretty much is history for me. I lost some weight around 2 yrs ago with the help of clean diet and a lot of cardio. I did lots of running, basketball and went to the gym regularly. I broke my leg last December and I was back to 95kg which I managed to lose those extra pounds after visiting the gym again recently but I gained a lot more muscle mass which put me back to around 90kg on and off.


This is me when I was 77kg? And also 13 years ago. HAHA.

What does this mean for my body? Lots of extra and loose skin. This is very common amongst people who lose weight.



So recently I've met my Goddess Kellyn from Lux Aesthetic. Not only did I get my enlarged pores fixed, she also introduced me to Clatuu Fat Freezing. Fat freezing is a treatment that uses precisely controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that is resilient to exercise or diet. It causes a permanent reduction in the number of subcutaneous (under the skin) fat cells by freezing them, without causing damage to the surrounding cells or tissue. So in simple English, it helps to remove the stubborn fats below. And yes, BODY SLIMMING TIME! I heard from Dr. that a lot of men with 6 pack abs will also go through this process to make their body more defined. Sadly, that's not me (yet).

Nothing speaks better than the before and after pictures. To save my own dignity, I've the face cropped off but you can still see my tattoos and for sure it's me! I don't think I need to label which is before and which is after. The result is quite obvious even only after 1 session.



Here's some FAQ from my personal experience:

Is it painful? 

It's really not that painful during the process. I was able to use my phone and even sleep.

How long is the treatment? 

45mins? An hour? I guess it also depends which parts of your body you are doing. Not enough for me to watch a movie.

Is there any downtime? If there is how long is it? 

Your skin will feel rather raw after that to be honest. It did cause a little discomfort for me for the first few days but it's not like that kind of pain where you need to take MC and stay in bed. I just couldn't play much basketball for a week or so? It's fine as long as nobody touches your tummy. I'm not kidding, I was carrying my son on day 2 and he kicked me so hard I almost threw him onto the floor. But no, I did not.

Is it forever? 

Like I mentioned at the start of the article. If you are going to continue eating and gain weight again, I don't think this treatment is for you. You have to put in some effort lah.

Are there any side effects? 

Not now, not that I know of. Some fat freeze machines/procedures that are not done by properly trained medical staff can sometimes cause freeze burns, so its important to get it done by a reputable clinic

How long before the results start showing? 

It took me around 4-6 weeks? If you are rushing for a beach holiday I suggest you start soon!

Can I get 6 pack abs from this?

I'm really quite happy with the results and I supposed I will go back and do more sessions and hope that I would have a flat tummy!
