POSB Passion Run for Kids 2017 with Baby Seth

One of the most common advice I get from other parents is always "value your time with him when he is still a baby. Kids grow up too fast!" Seth is currently 20 months old and I can't tell you guys how much more I enjoy his company as compared to the past 15-16 months. Truth is, he was this small poop-machine that didn't really interact much. What's so fun about that? I just can't wait for him to grow up! You can interact, you can travel together, you can prank mummy together, and of course, we can do sports as a team! (Two-men team is still a team.)

I'm sure I've said my plans for Seth more than one time. I didn't do much exercise as a kid because of the lack of exposure and also the fact that I didn't even enjoy it. Sports can be dangerous (Like how I've multiple injuries from my basketball games as well as my broken ankle from longboarding.) and also very tiring but once you have interest, everything is worth it!

So one of my goals for Seth is to ensurehope that he really enjoy sports and being active! A good foundation starts from young so I thought I should get him to be active at every possible chance and this time round we were part of the POSB Passion Run for Kids!

Are you ready? BECAUSE WE ARE! Seth is going to try and conquer 3.5km of walking by himself. Or not? We were totally prepared to carry him to complete the race if he got grouchy and refuses to walk. And also because we didn't know that we are actually allowed to bring baby strollers until we saw so many of them during the race. DAMNN.

Why is everyone so tall?

Seth, "My view is kinda strange. Is this what it is going to be for the next 3.5km?" (Obviously that's not what he was thinking considering the fact that he has no idea what is 3.5km.

WE ARE REACHING THE STARTING POINT! IT'S FINALLY STARTING!! Oh! And guess who I saw at the starting point? It's our Minister Chan Chun Sing. I suppose he was there to start the race. To be honest, I think it kinda sucks to be a minister. You have to deal with all the angry Singaporeans and their complains, handle real work stuff, and even attend such events as GOH so people will know you better and be more "on the ground" kinda of ministers that the people like. Before I started covering events for Unscrambled.sg and met him a few more times, I actually first met him at Singapore Blog Awards where he was the GOH as well. I am pretty sure he has no interest in meeting silly bloggers like us. All we can think about everyday is which OOTD to upload or who actually bought fake followers. I am sure he has better things to do than to pretend to engage in conversations that really don't make sense to him. Their job is really not easy isn't it? It was a weekend morning and they can't even sleep in less spend time with their own family. *shrug* Ok, I digress. Let's get back to the race.

The sun was hot, the walk was rather crowded but that did not stop little Seth. I am pretty sure he had no idea where he was walking to and what was the walk about. He probably thought we were walking somewhere to get him food. He was enjoying the scenery of our Marina Bay area, pointing at things he has no idea what they are, waving and smiling to strangers along the way that earned him way too many "Aiyo! This one so cute. Walking on his own." The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I suppose. #winningpersonality #notshy

Before we realised, we were at the finishing line with Seth all sweaty and red. He sure did make the walk easy for us. We were really surprised that he finished the whole 3.5km race like this just by himself. The race might be over but the real party had just began!

The heat might be hard to beat but I supposed nobody was really affected by it. Everyone had something to do. Game booths, activities, performances and more was prepared for everyone at the event. Seth might be a little too young to enjoy any of the above but the little one sure knows how to create his own adventure... With erm, an empty bottle. LOL

Seth, "Nooo moreee.." It's okay, until next year little one!
