It has now became a tradition for me to do such a post. For those who like history, you can check out 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012 , 2011 and 2010. To be honest I really love these posts to see how far I've come so far. It is also like an easy to-stalk content for those who just met me and wish to know a little more about me. (It is also a progress check for my own English. LOL)
Just a quick overview for 2016: total number of post - 130. Which is actually 24 more than 2015 and still 32 short from 2014. I've been slacking a lot I see. (if you notice I practically copied the 1st paragraph from last year which I copied from the year before. So this shows how lazy I really am? HAHA!)
BUT, I've been working hard on my IG lah. Give and take okay?
Anyway, here we go!
I'M A DAD!
As much as I always tell people that being a dad is seriously not a great achievement, this is still a major event of 2016. Why? You know, like you close a deal because you are a good sales person, if you are a top student, that is also because you studied hard but becoming a dad to be honest is really nothing close to an achievement in my books. I mean unless he is going to win some gold medal for the nation and I helped. Else ah, all I did was erm, you know.
Anyway, very quickly little Seth is already 10 months old and he is at this I-will-bite-everything-phase which includes me. It's funny how he is learning how to walk while I'm not walking. (That's another story for later)
Love this little ball of fats to bits. (I mean when he is not crying. OR screaming. OR pooping. OR refusing to sleep.)
In the words of my neighbour - " You are one strange man. You could suddenly just lose weight, change your hairstyle, and even your wardrobe."
I take that as a compliment but I guess to quote the great Michael Jackson,
"If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place, Take A Look At Yourself, And Then Make A Change"
We hold our lives in our very own hands. I love this new hairstyle and have been keeping this hair ever since. Can't say everybody feels the same about this. My mum thought I looked like I escaped from prison while my wife thinks that I look too fierce.
That's not all, I also started shaping my brows. And also YOGA!
It's a really fruitful year for my inkddiction.
My serendipity tattoo
My New York Skyline tattoo which I got when I was in New York.
My Kobe Bryant Bangle Tattoo which I was supposed to blog about and explain the design and I didn't because you know, lazy. Cause of this one I also started this #FoodForTatt on Instagram.
Instagram Game Reboot
Since we are on the topic of #FoodForTatt and Instagram, I got obsessed with
My wife has been really unhappy about me and my vulgarities (You know, baby Seth is picking up words these days) but it has always been my way of life for the longest time. Anyone with any tips on this?
I did a fair bit of traveling this year. I'm not sure which came 1st - my love of photography or traveling but it's because of these two hobbies turned work that I've been able to go places. I'm glad I met Zach, Nui and Flora who taught me a lot, both photography and traveling wise. It's also because of this I got myself a girlboss and that makes me her slave (I've no idea how I got that job title). According to the yearend appraisal that did not really happen, my girlboss thinks that I'm a very happy slave.
I still can't believe I was in NYC and LA though. That two cities are like my dream and it's so surreal that work got me there. I was actually at Staples Centre, home of the Lakers. I almost teared. (Actually I think I did.)
2016 Travel flash back post.
Breaking my ankle
Life after breaking my ankle sucks. I cannot go out and play, I had to cancel my travel plans. (I was supposed to be in Taipei? And could have been in Penang as well. And worst of all, Hong Kong Fashion week!! >:-( We had to turn it down because there's no way I'm going.) My right leg's muscles are all giving way and soft and I'm putting on a lot of weight. Horrible way to end the year seriously.
BEST OF 2016 - the Movie, TV Show, Music and Game edition
I'm a big MOVIE, TV Show, MUSIC and GAME Junkie. So I did a whole post of what I like. Check it out here.
I think 2016 is a major turning point for me. Not just in terms of health, people I meet, work, weight loss, travel, or even because I became a father. I can't really pinpoint why or what but I guess it's a chain effect of everything adding up. I feel like I kinda grew up all of a sudden and I learned to treasure time and progression a lot more than I used to. I used to believe that life is about being content but now life is a bout pushing limits for me. (Look where had that got me? Pushing the limit of my age and breaking an ankle. LOL)
There were plenty of ups and downs in this year. I picked up some good habits as well as bad ones which I'm not proud of. Some of the happiest and saddest moments probably happened all within the same year. (Fine, saddest is probably still 2012)
Overall, I've enjoyed my 2016 I guess. 2017, JUST BRING IT!
