How much could happen within a year and how much have happened?
This is me exactly a year ago in Hong Kong. The best I could do in front of the camera was my so-called "iconic" Ah Beng squat.
I'm not saying that I'm a very strong modelle now but I think I did progress a little.
I'm not writing this post to tell you how good looking I've become (although that might be your takeaway) but I would like to share the fact that 1 year might not be a very long time but if you really put your mind into achieving something, 1 year CAN make a very big difference.
This is a picture of a bowl of noodles I shot 1 year ago during my trip in Hong Kong.
And here's a picture of my dinner last week at Kinki's. Seriously ah. I am okay with paying like $80 for a few piece of sushi if they are good but I find their food really not worth the money? It ain't exactly the freshest and neither was it the most interesting sushi. I rather go to chikuwatei, Teppei or even Genki Sushi!
Okay lah fine, the view at Kinki is one of the reason why I will visit there. And also the fact that it is very near to one of my client's office.
I was going to become a dad. The anxiety, the fear, the unknown. And now, I'm a proud father of my 7 month old "fei fei". I really can't wait for him to start walking/running and that will be the start of his basketball training! As of now he's still rolling around on the bed like a ball of fun.
I've no idea where will another 1 year bring me. I am not sure if I've met my ceiling or how much further I can push myself but I will try. I will try my best to be the best. How much more can 1 progress? I hope the 2017 Sept Smith can look back at this post and tell himself, "damn. No way. I outdo myself again. Comon 2018, you are only going to be better."
I sincerely hope I do not put on the weight I lost last year. Or worst, they come back with backup.
