Under the hot sun shooting with the team. Everything for the gram. |
Sorry I am a little late this month! I know being late can be a major problem if we are talking about both your period and your pay but I guess my blog post is worth the wait?? (I hope). July was a crazy crazy month for me and August is going to be even crazier. Lots of shoots going on for this two months not just for myself but also for Jac (I will share more when the time is right) and my tour agency's new product - Makan Bus . Still a lot of unsettled dusk but I will share more when the time comes!
Anyway, here goes my top 5 of July! (Although I didn't upload that many this month, but choosing my five fav still wasn't that easy!)
1. Singapore looking like California
Took this picture when I was doing site visit for makan bus. I've never been to California (yet) but I've seen enough pictures or images of it on shows and video games. I thought this really looks like one of those scenes. The blue sky, the trees, and maybe not the bus.
2. Kuala Lumpur looking like Hong Kong
Did a quick stop over at Kuala Lumpur over the weekend to meet some people. (which I will share a little more later) Managed to get this shot of a busy street of KL. It was really one of those shots that I didn't expect to get. I love busy cities.
3. Burn baby burn
Had a BBQ party with Daniel Ong, Mister young and a few others. Didn't know Daniel was such a great chef! I like this whole photography thing going on for me but shooting still images for food is really not something I do best but I really love this burning pic!
4. It's my birthday!
Despite the crazy schedule, I managed to make some time for the family since it was my birthday. I didn't have any crazy party or what not but I kept things simple and met up with those who matters and important in my life for simple food and drinks. Also, I'm glad how fatty (I mean my son ah.) is growing up healthy and strong. He is now turning and learning to crawl forward. He has also grown 2 teeth!!
5. Asia's Next Top Model X Singapore's Next Top Girlboss
Finally managed to catch #girlboss but this time round at Kuala Lumpur. She has been traveling like crazy. From BKK to Aussie to HK and catching me at KL for some meetings. And best part of this catch up was that she introduced Asia's next top model cycle one contestant - Melissa, to me!
I wasn't really into ASNTM or any NTM show until lately. Their creative direction and what not taught in the show is really useful to me to improve my craft. Not just from shooting, directing but even to posting. I've never watched any of the cycles until the most recent one.
So after meeting Melissa, I actually went backwards to watch the show. It is damn funny I cannot. And the are sooooo bitchy! I'm really sad Kate Ma didn't make it big thou. I really love her character and craziness.
Now I'm on season two and the bitchiness carries on!
Since we are the topic of IG, IG introduces IG Stories which is basically Snapchat. I'm having a little fun with it here and there but I'm not too sure how long I will use it.
What's your take on this? Is IG Stories yay or nay?
