Hello from Bali!!!
No lah, this picture ain't taken in Bali. This picture was taken 2 days before I flew off to Bali for my trip. It was taken at Zafferano during restaurant week.
Lousy quality picture by iPhone. Too shy to bring my camera to "atas" restaurant. |
There are two types of people when it comes to food - The "Live-To-Eat" and the "Eat-to-live" and I am obviously the latter. Being a Eat-to-live simply means that I eat for the sake of eating and in fact I hate meal times because I hate to decide what to eat regardless of daily meals or fancy food meeting. My mum or my helper can cook the same dish for me everyday and I will never even complain. Eh, so that's how boring I am when it comes to food.
Since the arrival of lil Seth and my work piling up, we hardly have much time for sex proper dates, so I decided to take the wife for this Restaurant Week thingy for a fancy lunch (at a really reasonable price, niaopok hubby. HAHA.) and maybe a movie there after to spend some time together.
So we woke up early, got ourselves dressed up, deposited the kid over at the parents' place and headed over to Zafferano at Ocean Financial Centre .
Dating never seems to be the same anymore for us since we became parents (OH NO!). Despite the place being fancy, service was top notch and with pretty decent 4 course lunch, we actually left within an hour. HAHA. Eating became a no nonsense or chill pill thing for us.
I mean we did talk lah, not like we just went in and stuff our face fat and left. We talked about important things in our lives like how I'm stuck at my "Call of Duty 3" game and I feel like giving up, considering COE is quite low, should we change a new car or plan for our 2nd kid (WTF, not so soon please) and also who we can jio for more Mahjong Sessions over the weekend. We even took selfies and OOTD all but I have no idea how but we just managed to kill it so quickly.
Carbs! Gluten! My number 1 nemesis. |
We then caught the movie - Zootopia, since her cousins were raving about it during family dinner the other day. But guess what? We both felt asleep in the cinema half way through. Not sure if the show was bad or simply because we got too tired from taking care of the baby. Haha.
Despite us being tired or cutting the date short to pick up Seth earlier than we planned, I think such dates are still very important to keep the magic around instead of just being stuck at home and become "uncle and auntie". No doubt we can talk all we want or do anything together at home but I believe that dressing up and going out for something fancy once in awhile is a way of appreciating each other too!
And by the way, allow me to show off my view at Bali!
It is a nice beach! I did not upload a picture of Sentosa and pretend I'm at Bali hor! |
