Did Daphne Maia Starve Herself to Lose Weight?

I hope this clear your doubt and of course shut some people's mouth.

Before I go on,  for the benefit of those who has no clue what I am talking about, I am talking about THE @Daphnemaia. Just in case you are still very lost.  This is who I am talking about.
None other than the GLOW IGNITE "Model" Daphne.  We have been friends for awhile and I've seen her in her "before" shape as well as who she is today. I can't say if the pills work or not but I must say she is one discipline woman. Not only did she eat healthy, workout but basically her lifestyle is totally changed. This is a #Truestory when I see her slim down slowly and steadily. It's not like one of those endorsement where you pick an already hot girl to say that, use this and become hot.

I was very lucky to be invited over to her place which is a stone throw away to check out what she eats for her dinner as well as breakfast. It all started with me commenting on one of the many pictures that she posted on her instagram. It's always look so healthy that I makes my hair stand.

So is it nice? NO! At least not to me. I really dislike the whole oat taste. I dislike oat meal, or anything oat unless it is the fried oat meal prawn, sotong or chicken which is totally not the same thing. I had to eat every scoop with fruits and that is what the fruits are for anyway. It makes the oat a little bit more bearable. Frankly, I will never eat such thing for a few reasons. Fruits turns bad too easily especially when there is only 2 person eating at home. And 2, it's really not my thing.

The reason why I wanted to try was that I've been trying to workout and lose some weight as well. It all started a few months ago when I did a reality check and realized that my weight is really going way way way off the scale. So I started running and doing some weights. I just thought maybe I will like this healthy food and good for it as well.

My little progress after 3 months of inconsistant home workout. Only equipment I use is my 10kg x 2 dumbbells.
I used to be able to run like 21km and do 8 pull ups during army days but that was all history. 6 months ago I could hardly complete my 4km run alive. I was also invited by Daphne and Ju Ann(or rather challenged) to join them for a Zumba class some months back which I thought why not since I think it can add up to my weight lost program.

I was talking to Daphne about eating habits and eating clean is really not my thing and not my kinda lifestyle. I have to keep reminding myself what to eat and what not to and every now and than I will give myself some excuses to have cheat meal where else for Daphne, she just no longer has any desire for junk food. At ALL.

On top of eating healthy food, she will also prepare normal food in a healthy way where there is no oil, no this no that and brown rice. Her mother-in-law calls it the "rabbit food" which I was actually very ok with it. This is way better than eating oat. Oat felt a little like cardboard soak in water actually. HAHAHA.

Ignore that brown bowl of pork. That is the "normal" food which was prepared in case I can't take all healthy. LOL.
It was a nice homely session where we shared views about working out and of course blogging gossips. I'm very impress by how Daphne has changed her lifestyle for this. I am sure her flexible working hours help but it's not an excuse for us for those who have to work full office hours as well. I am sure we spend time surfing net or 2 hours in the cinema and one can actually achieve a lot with 2 hours in the gym. #TrueStory.

Once again I am very happy that I get to try the food at Daphne's place. Not only is it healthy and free, her place is so near that I walked home after that. No transport cost at all!!

I feel like slapping my face.

LOL YOU ARE THE BEST FOOD REVIEWER EVER. HAHAHAH. I do think the oats are not everyone's kind of thing, but you're so polite to finish everything I served you anyway HAHA.

Thank you for coming over last night - thank you for the conversations and the company! :) It really is nice to have friends over, cos I don't do that often. (Honoured right? lol)
