Movie Review: Red Number

Do you remember the last time you saw a car accident on the road? Had a nightmare or a silly dream? Or even going overseas and checking into a hotel? And when you tell your friends about such happenings what is their reaction?

"EH, GOT 4D NUMBER OR NOT?"

It really is pretty common isn't it? It is one of those #SoSingaporean moment!

Inspired by one of Singaporean's favorite hobby, buy 4D - Red Number!

The show is pretty interesting as they show case 978612351824123 ways Singaporean can be inspired with "red numbers". From dream to accident to time, date, car plate and every single little thing. Are we genius or are we just a gambler? And how many of these numbers are really "sure strike"?

Personally I am not a fan of buying 4D not just because I never strike but because I've seen people spending hundred and hundred of dollars on it and when they strike, they strike a pathetic $60?

In this show, you will also see many of Singapore's veteran actors and actresses and of course our Hui Master. (Hui Master is fortune telling master not Alamak, that one is Hui Ge.)  It is his first time on the big screen but I must say he did a pretty good job.

And like all Singapore production(I can't explain if it's because Singaporean like it this way or it's just because our school thought us this when we were writing compos back then.) there will always be a morale of the story and some hint to be a better person. This show is definitely not encouraging gambling but in fact sharing with you guys how gambling can changed a person's life.

I wouldn't say this show is a comedy although there are some funny moment and neither would I say it's a horror although there are ghost. I think it is a genre of it's own - Local Firm.

Go catch this show if you are available and you will find something close to heart in this show for sure. Support local firm and local artist!
