After the 2010 season comes to a curtain call it's a sign of a new beginning for many players. This year is one of the year with the most talented free agents. And yes, Lebron WAS on the line and up for grabs. The marketing manager/PR was really well done for milking every cent out of him. A simple 60seconds news was drag into a 60mins show and showcase to release where he is going. So let's take a look at what happened so far?
1. Amare Stoudemire to New York
One of the first transfer. Amare Stoudemire move from West to East to the Big Apple. New York was hoping that Stoudemire will be one reason to attract LBJ which apparently didn't work out. He is a good player, a good scorer, faster than the avg forward/centre although a bit smaller but this man plays no defense. With him in the team I am sure Big Apple can get a few more win but David Lee might be moving forward.
2. Boozer to Chicago
Another great move from the West to East. I like Boozer, aggressive and powerful. I am sure he will be a great help to Rose and Noah. Pretty confident that the Bulls will be in the playoffs w this addition and a older pair of the Rose and Noah.
3. The Celtics
Lots of talking about how the C's might meet the end losing to the fight of time but Ray Ray is coming back and so is Doc. Smart move I suppose. Many teams cleared their caps and send away many good players just hoping to get Wade, Bosh and James but we all know who is the winner by now. So what are we going to do with those caps ?
4. Kevin Durant !
Gave his loyalty back to the Thunder with any loud clap bang kiss. I just can't wait to see how much this young man can contribute to the sports scene.
5. Jermaine O'Neal
The was star player of Pacer. Make transfer all over and not able to perform for the last few season and landing himself at the Cs. Can he get his form back anytime soon ?
6. Dirk Nowitzki
Staying with the Mavericks ! Loyalty yes but ring no. Sorry Dirk, looks like you are going to retire with no gold.
7. Phil Jackson
Woo !! staying w the Lakers to get their 2nd Three-peat. WAAAAAY TO GO !
8. Wizards
Nothing major on them but I am very concern. Being in the same division means that you will meet each other more often during regular seasons. For those of you guys who are not very familiar with the division, allow me to fill you up. Wizards are in the southeast division with Hawks,Magic,Bobcats and Heats ! All the four team from this year's playoff. We have got some good ex-star players. We have got Hirinch from bulls and Yi JianLian from Nets. We have Arenas back and we have 1st draft pick John Walls. Are we going to the playoffs? Maybe not.
9. THE Miami Heats
This is the big question mark here. so who is going to be the star and who is going to score? We have Wade, James and Bosh in the same locker room. This is like a mini Team USA here. Bosh was at raptors and he miss quite a few playoffs and no ring. James brought the cavs to their 1st ever playoffs back then but no ring. Wade got his 1st ring w Shaq and a good injury after that and return as big mean (solo) machine. Can this 3 all star play as a team and win ? So are they going to spray some powder together ? Can they beat the Cs and Magic as a team to dominate the east like the Cs big 3 few season back? Can they break Phil's Three-peat pattern?
There are still so many more months before the season starts but the all star free agent market has already more or less settled down. Who is going to Mavs to help Dirk ? Who is going to fillup the Nets now since there is no one else around but still very rich ? Who is going to the Big Apple to help Amare? What will happen to teams with caps but no more star? What will happen to 2nd class names now ?
