my company was holding their road show and stuff and thus we were invited for their premiere lor..

The Cast -

"who the f*** r they?" - that is the very 1st line everybody will say looking at the movie poster but my say is everyone have to start somewhere somehow and yes.. they made it well and good i will say. This group of young stars sure did very well

The Story

I would say it is a show very close to heart.. a very Singaporean show but then again it is not the 1st.. Roystan very own 15 and not to forget "eating air". But over all this story is very interesting and close to heart. A show which will not only bring you entertainment and lesson but memories for people who live that era.

The Filming

Interesting i would say.. i am not mr.flim maker but i believe this film is not something that bad but it's good enuff ! But the comic cross over to pple and profile intro cross over is very "young and dangerous" and on top of that it is just the same as YND - gangster show.. so it's very much a "copy" or learned from Huang Jing

The Boos

Ending credit was "Long Hu Meng" art isn't it? I mean it's a good show all this while and this kinda nitigriti "i-wanna-learn" from you attitude is a great turn off seriously..

Valerie - i am not too sure if she shld fall into the boos but I would say she have a very good role to flare actually and yes, i believe she could have done much better.. not that she ain't good enuff yet but frankly,this kind of script dun come everyday and being the villain is the best time to flare and make notice to pple that U ARE THE NEXT BIG THING !!

The Cheers

I have to say that the best part of this movie which alot movie didn't achieve is the character development.. each and every character's story and life is very well developed in a way that at the end of the show u can fall in love, idolize everyone of them and within this short film u seem to know them all very well but NOT too well as in spending too much time on one character. Look at it, even the short living xiao lao da was very well written and tauper.. not much heavy scene bout him but his characteristic was very well shown just in a few short scene of his.

Costume and Scene - his hair is si bei nice.. and his in show red shirt with folded sleeves and all tuck in.. si bei that era.. thumbs up for the research team.. the Telecom booth, the macdonalds cup.. i think some might find that they are trying too hard to make the 90's feeling by putting all these up but in the end at the corner of the scene u can still see the new HDB lighted walk way with silver handle whcih shld not be seen in the 1990. But hey.. u guys aint in this industry and u guys will nv feel how difficult it is to get such scene and props man.. so well good job to the heroes whose face ain't shown but guess what? ur work is appreciated !!

Overall

4 pop corns out of 5 !! a must watch for all Singaporean !! The older ones to feel the era again.. the young ones to feel how ur brothers or dad was when they were younger !! The nerds who dunno all this happen in Singapore..
