Donate to Ride For Rainbows.

Smithankyou     7/11/2014 11:29:00 AM     charity, Doing good, donation, helping a friend, helplah, ride for rainbows     No comments

From their site:

"The Ride for Rainbows 2014 is into its third year. This fundraising event, organised by club rainbow (Singapore), helps to support more than 600 rainbow children and their families.

Ignorant Smith

To be honest I've never heard about this event before until now. Apparently this is a rather young event, it is just stepping into its 3rd year this 2014.  When I 1st saw the word rainbow and I thought it's some event for LGBT again but well I guess I'm wrong this time. So who are the club rainbow?

About Club Rainbow Singapore

Established in 1992, Club Rainbow (Singapore) is a registered charity committed to helping children and youths suffering from a range of chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses.
The charity currently supports more than 600 children, youths and their families.
We provide a range of free services including a volunteer-based befriender network and counselling, free tuition at home, at our Rainbow Family Care Centre on weekends and for children warded at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and National University Hospital, we also offer bedside tuition.

Now you know, it is time to do your part!

There are a few ways to be part of this. For the obvious, you can be part of the ride.

Register here!

And if you can't ride or it's too sweaty for you being fabulous, you can support a rider. Need a rider to support? Here is my friend Dan.

This is Dan and he is doing it because he love kids and I am doing this blog post because I love him!

To be honest I don't know him that well but he is a friend of my brother and my brother told me much about him and how they were close friends back in the days. I believe if my brother was around, he would probably do his part in all these fund raising event too.

Donate Here

I know it is not easy for someone to just take our some money from their pocket to donate to someone they do not really know but trying is never bad and I hope I can get some of you who can afford to donate any small amount in the name of the event and the 600 kids in club rainbow.

If you are not convinced... This is how cool Dan looks on his bike some years back...

I stole this image from his Facebook. LOL
Mr.Smith, don't say bo jio, now I jio you donate you better go donate okay?

Why I offer Free delivery for SEA Taobao to my friends?

Smithankyou     3/11/2014 09:00:00 AM     hapyparcelday, helping a friend, helplah, taobao, taobao sea     No comments
SEA Taobao has totally changed my life of shopping. I no longer spent hours and hours walking around in malls looking for things I can't find and neither do I go around looking for cheaper deals because all these can be done within a click.

This might be me in near future but who cares. (Image from Disney's Wall-E)
To me, shopping at Taobao is not just easy but also addictive and fun. I'm so obsessed with it till the point that I even shop for my friends who complains about not knowing how to set it up or read Chinese.

I mean I tried.
Read other post related to how to shop at Taobao or What I usually buy.

A small disclaimer, I am not a Daigou or neither do I earn from this whole thing. Although Taobao is my sponsor I do not earn a single cent from helping them to get people to buy, neither do I mark up my friends' purchase nor do I charge them anything for delivery. (Sharing the shipping cost is one benefit for everyone!) Yes, FYI, I deliver to their doorsteps most of the time.

SIAO AH? WHY? PETROL CHEAP AH?

Not sure about you but I love Christmas. I love gifting and the look on their face when they get a gift. I can't be playing Santa Claus and do gifting everyday but giving people free delivery puts that (almost) same smile onto their face. That sense of happiness can't be replaced! And of course when these guys appreciates your help, it makes you feel good!

Toys - Checked!

Jersey - Checked!

Laptop Stickers - Checked!

Books - Checked!

Soft Toys - Checked!
Costumes - Checked!
Of course, I don't just randomly help people to buy things even when I've nothing to buy and who am I kidding... Nothing to buy on Taobao? There is always something for everyone! So after awhile, you will get people tagging you in every other Taobao post. HAHA.

So I guess I'm just kaypo like that and for those who are wondering what's in for me. Making you guys happy makes me happy! So have you "Taobao-ed" today?

Mr.Smitha Claus is coming to town!

Smithankyou     5/14/2013 09:30:00 AM     event, helping a friend, singapore     No comments
Nope, I did not just spell picnic wrongly, so yes, we are going to peeknic!

What is Peeknic all about?

The ladies behind Peeknic is simply trying to bring back the glorious days of Twitter in Singapore back! The days when "Tweetup" was so easy. Where random users on Twitter just meetup and make friends! You have no idea how many random chicksfriends I've pick upmade since '08 - '09 when such Twitter powered social events were so popular.

They came up with the name Peeknic because they want to collect photo memories of Singapore Botanic Gardens. Hence, Peeknic means to peek into your memories of SBG through a picnic.

Participants have to tag their photos during the event with #PeeknicBG2013 and #sgmemory to qualify for a post-event lucky draw.

When: 15 June 2013

Where: Singapore Botanic Gardens
