What did I know about Munich before visiting the city? Nothing. Or at least close to nothing. All I knew was FC Bayern Munich, sausages, and beer. The funny story is that as much as we associate beer to Munich, they actually only have 6 breweries. I had guessed 800+ breweries when the tour guide asked us lol. Ok I now sound like a himbo but it's alright, I got beer and I'm happy. (Now that just made me sound even more himbo LOL)
Well, and again it's not exactly wrong to relate Munich to beer. The very first thing we did upon arriving was to get a beer from Airbrau Restaurant which was located in the airport. Yup, they have a brewery of their own right in the airport.
Beer might be awesome but that's really not what Munich is all about. Let me share more about Munich with you guys!
Where to stay
During the trip, I actually stayed at 3 different hotels.Hotel Louis
Hotel Louis is this really Instagrammable boutique hotel which is located right beside one of the markets. There's a lot going on and makes it interesting for a morning walk. Not only is it right beside the market, it is also within walking distance to most attractions such as the shopping streets, St Peter's Church as well as the town hall. Ok, I shall not jump the gun, I will tell you more about the places to visit later. Oh and also, they serve really good breakfast, which erm, I ate them mostly without taking pictures. You know, it's early in the morning and I really need my food to keep me in shape. Round, that is.

Hotel Am Badersee
If you are looking for a hotel closer to nature with an amazing view, Hotel Badersee is the place. It is located in Grainau which is very close to Zugspitze, the highest peak of Germany where we could actually see Austria from where we were standing. This hotel provides that computer wallpaper kind of view. The lake and woods located just besides the hotel are nothing less than magical - kinda like you have walked into a fairy tale.

Hotel Bayerischer Hof
You know how it sucks so much when you fall sick during a trip? I was hit by a very bad case of heatstroke/dehydration case on the second last day of the trip. By that I mean I was puking, down with major headache, and I couldn't even get out of the bed. Luckily for me, because I was putting up at Hotel Bayerischer Hof, I received great help and hospitality. They even managed to get a doctor to attend to me. He gave me some pills and some powerful jab which knocked me out for a good few hours and I woke up feeling like I just got reborn. I wish I had the energy to take nicer pictures of the place before I messed it up as well as the two pretty hotel staffs who later sent me hot soup, but sadly I didn't. LOL. On a side note, travel insurance is very important! Another interesting thing to note is that they actually have a Michael Jackson memorial shrine right outside the hotel. Yup, sick man didn't take any picture of that as well. Sigh.
This five-star luxury hotel sure left an impression.

I've taken so many pictures and these posts are going to be so image heavy and long. Not sure if you have the patience to read it all at all one go but I think I certainly don't have the patience to write it all at one go (lol), so I'm going to break it into parts. Stay tuned if you are interested to find out where we went during our trip. I promise I will update soon!
Meanwhile I need to visit the gym to lose all those weight I gained from all the beer drinking. BYE!
