Wife, "Eh, you wanna do cake smash?"

Me, "Smash what cake? Something Kinky? Like eat cake off your body?"

Wife, "-.- no. Photoshoot for your son."

I've no clue they have this thing call the cake smash photoshoot for kids, but apparently it is quite a big thing for the kids. A quick search on google will give you a rather good idea of how popular it is.

We talked about this and my wife was wondering if I wished to do the shoot ourselves since I've been clicking camera so much these days. But you know how some chef never ever cooks at home right? Nah, that's not me. I still like to shoot my boy but this whole cake smash thing is just too dirty to coordinate. So I left my wife to do the whole coordination and stuff. We  She managed to find a photographer that charges us a decent price and the best thing about them is that they will give us ALL the pictures instead of just a selected 10 or 20 pictures.

They are really nice people! I brought my camera along and they actually didn't stop me from shooting or ask me to get out of their way. All these pictures I've uploaded on this post are pictures taken by myself. In fact we started talking shop and I found out that this couple only does shoot for kids.

The shoot was pretty enjoyable and breezy for us. For $630, it includes the photos, the props (which I brought more of my own Lakers collection), the studio rental, a 8R size(i think) print of 1 selected photo, and even the cake. All we did was to share with them the theme we wanted, the type of cake, and the rest were pretty much done for us. It's a total of 3 different scenes on top of cake smash.

They also managed to squeeze in a few frames for family shot which I really like! (I mean obviously this shot wasn't taken by me. duh.)

The photographer was telling us that they have shot over 50 kids doing cake smash shot and my son was the ONLY one that sat there and continue eating cake non-stop through out the whole shoot. I guess we know who he takes after for being quite a glutton and camera whore. LOL.
