To my horror we found my old
Butcher, I always wanted to be a butcher |
I totally wanted to become a provision shop owner because I have unlimited food supplies. Damn ambitious lor.
Although I didn't end up having my own provision shop (yet), I did have my fair share during my part time job days where I worked at departmental stores! I worked at Metro, Takashimaya, Isetan, and even Toys R us! FYI: I didn't get fired and end up changing departmental store on a daily basis, I was a promoter and they send me around cause my sales was pretty good. They always say I'm the person who can convince a bird to come down from a tree. LOL
I always have this strong love for the retail industry. Years after my part time jobs days, I actually went into events and marketing before I started my own company. One of those jobs I was actually the marketing executive for a shopping mall. I even have my own team of interns! Internship in Singapore is actually quite fun I must say. Especially when you come to my team! Cause I always believe in nurturing and not just about making them do labour work. I didn't say this, it's my interns feedback. And some of them still kept in touch and has became close friends with me.
I have no idea if this is considered as a dream job fulfilled but I guess I still have plenty of time in my career to work towards owning a provision shop right? I mean like if one day I own something like Sheng Siong, it is STILL considered a provision shop?
Side note, instead of commenting on my dream job, my wife just went on to comment about my poor English. Job hazard I guess? :(
