Not exactly the most photogenic burger. |
It has been 3 weeks since the arrival of lil Sethankyou and I must give it to the wife on how she actually managed to keep her sanity for staying at home (most of the time) during the confinement period thus far. To be very honest, I have no idea what is this whole "confinement" about because I haven't seen or heard any 'ang-mo' friends telling me that they need to do the whole stay home-for-their-confinement-after-birth thing. The only confinement I know was during my BMTC days where we need to keep ourselves and our sperm away from civilization. Tough but fun times. BMTC days are one of the best time during army. (Okay, I digress)
The wife finally decided to step out of the house to get some fresh air, leaving lil Sethankyou with granny at our place. With the new Waterway Point opened up at Punggol, things got way easier for us. By that I mean for us to head to Seletar Mall located at Sengkang because the crowd has all blindly relocated themselves to Punggol. I would always rather take a short drive to a place with less crowd as compared to hitting the newest and mad packed place in town.
And also because I gotten a new Canon 50mm 1.4f Lens and I really wanted to bring it out to shoot some stuff. Like anything and I really mean ANYTHING.
Enjoying the random |
She wanted to eat like Sashimi and the only choice was Sushi Express but I was a lil scared over this whole raw fish thing and told her better not risk it. So we decided to be adventurous and gave this "THREE by Table Concepts" a try.
So THREE is pretty much like a restaurant but they serve 3 different types of cuisine at a very reasonable price. They served French, Thai and Japanese Food. As usual, I went for a burger.
I would usually go for burgers with a good beef patty but I saw this Pork burger waving at me on the menu and it's not everyday thing that you can get a FRIED pork burger. To be honest the burger didn't look appealing at all when it was served.
fkkkkkk.. why must it always be me! Ordering the lousy food off the menu when there's like 10,000 different food choices. I hate it when I get bad dinner after a long day of meetings and work in the office dealing with silly clients from hell and now I have to deal with a plate of mistake that I ORDERED!
To be honest, I judged too quickly as usual. The perks of being good looking does make a difference in life. Anyway, the burger was freaking awesome and it is only $9.80.
The bun was toasted! It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The fried pork cutlet was surprisingly tender on the inside and crispy on the outside as well. And the sauce was easy to identify even for me. (I am one of those eat to live guy. Rather spend my money on gadgets or toys or shoes or jerseys or bags, erm, okay you get my point.) I am very sure it's the Japanese Bull Dog Tonkatsu sauce or similar.
The burger was really pretty decent for its price and it came with coleslaw and a huge portion of French Fries that I didn't managed to finish. Then again, ever since my weight lost I've been eating like a girl. Hardly finishes my food. :(

Funny story about Seletar Mall actually. (Yes, this post is not over yet) So I've a friend who ain't exactly from this part of Singapore (like Singapore how big right?), and she was asking me about directions to Seletar Mall. So I told her it's actually not that difficult to get to the place. You simply have to take the MRT and change to the LRT. And here comes the punchline, "What is LRT?"
Do you guys NOT know what is LRT?
