Floral Workshops with Heaven in a Wild Flower

My first step into floristry with Heaven in a Wild Flower was a wonderful experience! I attended a floral workshop some weeks back and it was truly inspiring. The day's task was to create a foam arrangement and I entered the class with no proper floral knowledge whatsoever. I do love flowers, I appreciate them - but I just don't know what to do with them. Until that day.

Each participant had their own set of starter tools and a space to get imaginative with. The class was great for blooming beginners like me; the ones who can't tell the difference from a ranunculus and rose. Eunice opened the class with insightful knowledge on floral art and arrangement, sharing tips and tricks on creating an amazing floral piece. With that in mind we pushed through to the much awaited hands-on session.

Here's the thing - I was never great at decorations and when it came to floral arrangements, I didn't set much expectations. I was clearly waiting to be disappointed by the work of my own hands and I wasn't too sure about how my final arrangement would eventually turn out. My piece didn't look very decent in the beginning but Eunice showed me that my thumb could turn slightly green with a little practice and a keen eye for art and balance. YAY!

When all was trimmed and neatly arranged (kinda), I was absolutely besotted with my final, floral product! I never knew I could create something like this, considering it's my first go at floral arrangement. Big thanks to Eunice for guiding me along the way, correcting wayward leaves and messy blooms! If each participant's work could be a mirror of their personalities, then yes, mine's undeniably accurate - a bit of mess and not entirely perfect. Fun!

All the pretty workshop photographs belong to Heaven in a Wild Flower. I sneaked a few snaps during the workshop as well. Also of the beautiful home. I'm rather nosy that way. Scroll on!

We were also invited to a light lunch at Eunice's dining area with food from Carpenter and Cook!

Eunice's home is glorious, if you haven't already noticed. A dream space filled to the brim with mismatched trinkets and vintage gems. All of which are available for rent! See everything she's got here!

A little more about Eunice:
She is a creative consummate. While she co-owns Carpenter and Cook, she is also a stylist, florist and designer at Heaven in a Wild Flower - a boutique event styling, design and vintage rentals company.

Check out more of Heaven in a Wild Flower's floral workshops and jamming sessions! Getting crafty with flowers - great idea for a creative weekend or a cosy get-together activity with the girls, don't you think?
