And in addition to this year's award is that it is not just about what we have done throughout the year but also about facing new challenges. This year's theme is "The 60s".
Although this is not a challenged set by the organizers , I am trying to blog about some of my favorite topic is the context of the 60s! So today, instead of my normal #MusicMonday, I am sharing songs from the 60s!

The Righteous Brothers
Unchained Melody
Released: July 1965
I'm pretty sure most of you would have thought that this song came from the 90's all thanks to Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and the potter's wheel in Ghost. The truth is that the 'Unchained Melody' goes way back into the 1965.
The Jackson Five
I Want You Back
Released: October 1969
Before the king of pop got popped or showing his moves, moon walking down the stage. The Jackson Five. This song was released before the popular A-B-C song. FYIThe Beatles
She Loves You
Released: August 1963
Probably one of the few songs that you are pretty sure it came from the 60s. It's the Beatles and it has to be from the 60s. It's the 60s, it has to be the Beatles. Now that is iconic. Ben E. King
Stand By Me
Released: February 1961
I'm sure we heard 560239764061623 versions of this. Even Timon and Pumba from the lion king.Monkees
I'm A Believer
Released: November 1966
Nope, Donkey from Sherk didn't sing this song. It goes way back into the 1966.The Shirelles
Will You Love Me Tomorrow?
Released: December 1960
Imagine how racy this was in 1960, with a young
girl considering whether to get it on with her boyfriend in an age of
prurience yet to be wholly swept away from rock'n'roll. Its power and
frankness – as well as it being a splendid song from the supreme pair of
Carole King and Gerry Goffin – took it to the top in the US and
kickstarted the girl group era.Sly And The Family Stone
Dance To The Music
Released: January 1968
'Dance To The Music' is a day-glo riot of
pulsating horns, fuzzed-up guitars and zany organ, dressing up what's
essentially an "introducing the band" mid-concert jam. But the
musicianship and full-force funk makes it transcend the throwaway, as
Sly Stone, guitarist Freddie Stone, bassist Larry Graham and hornsmith
Cynthia Robinson all get a go on lead vocals and sweep the world up in
the fun.Louis Armstrong
What A Wonderful World
Released: October 1968
A UK No.1 single in 1968, 'What A Wonderful World'
found a new, memorable lease of life in the 1987 Robin Williams movie
vehicle Good Morning, Vietnam – but it so nearly never fell into Louis
Armstrong's hands. The veteran bandleader and jazz trumpeter was second
choice to Tony Bennett, but he 'made it his own', delivering a song of
hope to a backdrop of domestic upheaval. And today? I'm sure we hear it all the time on TV Commercials. The Temptations
My Girl
Released: December 1964
You don't even need to wait for the intro to be over before you go "OOOOH this song."The Beegees
Words
Released: January 1968
Nope, this song is not a boyzone original. Oh wait, you are too young to even know who the boyzones are? Honourable Mention
The Rolling Stones; not too sure how many of you guys are familiar with their songs but I am sure everyone should be familiar with this logo. I am not ashamed to admit that I do not know their music. Many has forgotten about the fact that they were already active in the 1960s, and yes, that is the same period as the Beatles but the difference is that they are still active till today. Although the changes in members over the years. These guys are LEGEN... WAIT FOR IT... FORVER DARY!
Bonus Track:
Not too familiar with this song nor these guys myself but when talked about the 60s, my colleague @WadDaFad mentioned about this song and highly recommended this.
