Coming from a Cantonese speaking family, my English has never been good and it has always been a problem for me even until today. Many might say that it's not too bad especially when it comes to spoken since I do show hosting but frankly, my grammar, tenses and spelling sucks. So with that in mind I set off writing and trying to improve my English. One bit at a time, one post at a time.
Over the years of writing, I've made many friends and met many people. All these are something which was never part of the plan. I've never expected a silly little blog of mine that started off with a kampong group of 10 readership a month to become a #PunggolEast group of 20 - 25,000 readership a month. And something which is even more unexpected is the fact that I've been asked to write for a certain sites before and this time round it's by one of our local online media big boy - Omy.sg.
If you are unfamiliar with our local online media sites - From Omy.sg - omy.sg is Singapore's first bilingual-friendly (Chinese and English) interactive web portal by Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH).
I've been a close working partner with Omy considering the fact that I was the event organizer for a few of their events over the years including the highly anticipated Singapore Blog Awards but I've never expect them to ask me to write for them.
As the event organizer you can do whatever your want. |
