"eh F you lah, you ks-er."
"you blardy noob!"
"Eh, you no balls ah? Meet and fight lah."
"Your mother ho*ker, your father gh3y, I rape your sister and ask bangalah to kill your brother."
Those were the days.
Those were the days where you can speak whatever bullsh*t and nothing will happen to you. When I say nothing will happen I mean really nothing, nobody will knock on your door and you will do none of the above as well.
But things has changed a little more than we expected. Within these few years, the internet business and social media has picked up in the speed of light. Things got better, people takes thing more seriously and so did the gahment.
I know we had Amy Cheong from last year, and a few more who got themselves into trouble because of the racist remarks they made online but this time round??
Just in at OMY.sg, a 13 yr old boy was nabbed for his bomb treat messages on facebook.

Seriously? You mean a 13 yrs could be convicted up to 5yrs jail term because of this bullsh*t he said on HIS own fb page?
I am not sure what is the chance of him really doing it. I know we shouldn't compromise on national security but it's the social web space and people talk big all the time no? So the next time people scold me on facebook or twitter like he wanna kill me, can I sue him for threatening me? And girls who post sexy pictures of them and I comment "Nice Jugs", is that sexual harassment?
I felt that the attention we are giving social web is a little above the top. my argument is if he posted it on MBS's wall it could be against certain online rules and get maybe get his msg deleted but this time round it is his own wall and this is what he has gotten himself into?
There are school rules to run the schools, there are company rules to run the companies and of course there are law to run the country. I felt that if there is a need to kill all these online Joy just for security sake it should be a set of internet rules and administrators and not law. Putting everything onto law and order just feels a little bit too much.
So did I break any law for scolding Alvin online or not?
