I think it's very reasonable why would people ask me that question as we simply relate Turf Club to 1 thing - Gambling. That's exactly the same question I ask myself when I got the invite.
But, - "Are they just promoting gambling ? "
The answer is no. ( well at least that's what I believe after attending the event.)
So if it's not the game they are promoting what are they promoting? The place actually have function rooms of varias sizes for small parties like (21st birthday) to bigger events like launches or even Dinner and Dance ! The facilities is actually pretty wholesome.
There are actually really much more to a turf club than just random betting, it's not like 4D or ToTo where luck is the only factor. ( Unless you believes in "inspiration" like my parents ).
There were so much more to horse betting, from knowing the jockey, the game's stats and even the horse 's condition. Is he all pumped up, is he sweating or how old he is. Frankly speaking it's a sport just like F1 !
It was an awesome event for me as it's always good to bump into other bloggers. And me being the male blogger has more benefits when it comes to meeting other bloggers. Why? More often than not they are ladies ! And yes they are pretty ! Bump into - Sara, Jean and Karen this time round. And I brought the "Ladylola" with me. :p
It's really funny looking at all this babes looking at the legen... wait for it... DARY ! Horse racing booklet and all discussing about it. Looks really funny. And yes it's a sight only for those who attended . :p .
And yes, we were given $5 voucher to try our luck.

I suppose the picture says it all eh ?
Overall I think it was an awesome experience, hearing from the staff and knowing some of the insights(just insights, no special tips). Knowing the different areas where visitors can go for different purposes, the different rules of the game and the fact that all of the MALE jockeys has an average weight of 50 odd KG. *facepalm*
Mr.Smith, SI HO SI HO ! (Number 4 in Hokkien)
P.S : Oh yes, and gentle reminder - no berms allowed, I almost got a "red card" for that. In my defense it's suppose to go with the hat !! And in this case, length does matter.
